Absurd to charge them.

while I tend to agree with you, I will reserve my opinion until Libby Hank weights in.

he probably hasn't mentioned it, but he is an attorney at law and far smarter than the rest of us.

Wesley Bell, the county prosecutor, is almost as bad. He may be more incompetent and a little less of a true believer. But he’s still shite. And he has a penis (presumably).

I agree, we stayed for a long weekend last summer and downtown was deader than dead.

That bitch played a lead role in framing the governor. All that shite was blown up to the point that the ex-governor is considering a return to politics.

The bitch faces no consequences of course

Why not leave these cities and urban centers to the fate they want?

Industry isnt beholden to these areas anymore.

Tech has shifted the focus and need for these urban hubs for commerce.

Gardner is the one that set up and framed the incumbent republican Governor, Eric Greitens and ran him out on rail with help from RINOs forcing Greitens to resign.

It seems like she's facing some pressure on that front so hopefully she's too busy to cause too much trouble.

In case people haven't read too much about that, here are a few articles showing some progression:
St. Louis Prosecutor’s Investigator In Greitens Case Charged With Perjury, Evidence Tampering

Courtroom fireworks over case with tie to Eric Greitens; Judge orders CAO to back off

Former Governor's exoneration also signals consequences for abuse of prosecutorial power - probably best link for background

Taxpayers won't be paying for Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner's private attorneys, judge rules

From the 3rd link:
quote:

After media reports of an extra-marital affair Greitens had before he was elected began to leak, Greitens admitted to the affair in January 2018. The next day, Gardner announced she was initiating an investigation into allegations that Greitens had attempted to blackmail his former paramour into keeping silent by threatening to disclose a compromising photo of her. As the record in the case later revealed, Gardner had already initiated an investigation into Greitens almost a month previously, in December 2017. And so began a concerted effort by the Soros-funded Gardner and an outside investigator to bring down the governor based on a manufactured investigation with no evidence.

Greitens was dutifully arrested, dragged down to police headquarters for a mugshot, and indicted on charges of felony sexual misconduct and campaign malfeasance. Both charges were later dropped after prosecutors failed to disclose any evidence, but they stuck long enough to force Greitens’ resignation from office.

As prosecutors prepared the trial, several unusual tactics were revealed. First, and most strikingly, is that Gardner did not rely upon the St Louis police department to investigate the sexual misconduct charges. Instead, she hired an outside investigator, former FBI agent William Tisaby to handle the investigation. Tisaby is now alleged to have lied under oath (he is being charged with six counts of perjury by a special prosecutor assigned to investigate the case against Greitens), and to have withheld exculpatory evidence from Greitens defense. A central question is whether any evidence of a photograph even existed.

There were allegedly cash payments totaling almost $120,000 made to witnesses, adding further speculation as to the political motives of the prosecution’s case. There were further allegations contained in the deposition transcripts that the day Ms. Gardner brought charges against Governor Greitens, his principal political adversary in the Missouri legislature was texting Greitens accuser (for whom she had served as a long-time mentor), urging her to come forward with her allegations.

I walked to the brewery within eyesight of the hotel. They don’t brew IPAs but they serve frozen pizza. Weird as hell.

I did time in St. Louis, Columbia and the fort out in the sticks. Columbia was the best of the bunch.

I rotate my fall schedule between NC and some place I’ve never been. I’ll never agree to do St. Louis again. I’d do Columbia in a heart beat.

My folks live in CoMo. Love it.

St. Louis is an acquired taste. I won’t live anywhere else than my second home in Florida (to be purchased). But we’re out in the burbs.

Love the food. Love the dozens of unique neighborhoods. Got a lot of friends in the local music scene and I play from time to time.

But it’s certainly an odd place. My daughter is in med school. She can’t wait to come back to the Lou for residency. It’s a place that people who are raised here stay.

You have too much faith in the average St. Louis voter.

The only hope to get Gardner out of office is Mary Pat. St. Louis is 45% black and 44% white.

It may not have great effect in urban centers, but in the rest of the country this may be the lynch pin which swings the momentum back to conservatives and ultimately to the benefit of Trump in November. It will resonate with voters in other areas who may have been emotionally swayed by the killing of George Floyd.

Now they are seeing how the left has gone far beyond protesting Floyd's death into transforming many cities of this country into a third world country. They see mayor after mayor cower in the face of anarchy, turning police departments into feckless spectators while hard working people lose their businesses and residences. With no one else to defend themselves they resort to self defense. When so doing these law abiding citizens are arrested while marauding bands of thugs , rioters and looters are allowed unfettered lawlessness. It will awaken the sleeping giant who will see that if we cede the country to the Democrats we will turn the country over to these mobs.

This is a clear message. The mob is in control and has the backing of the government. Any attempt to defend yourself, your family, or your property will land you in jail and/or bankrupt you.
That's why someone should just open fire. Seriously.

You're going to get hammered even if just acting in defense, so make it worth it.

Said it earlier today, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if Greitens steals Roy Blunt's Senate seat.
