MeeMaw in trouble? New poll shows Ivey’s support slipping fast and is looking at a runoff.

She's in trouble if she doesn't win outright on May 24th. The last thing her team wants is for her to be forced to actually campaign. It will just make matters worse when people see just how bad of shape she's really in.

Of course Tim James isn't any better of an option.

I’m surprised someone tangentially connected to Bear Bryant isn’t getting traction this time around.

His fricking doctor was Governor until he had to resign.

The sad part is there doesn't seem to be a candidate with a chance of winning that would be much of an improvement. Hope she gets into a runoff though.

I am very excited to hear this!

Me Maw DOES NOT deserve to be re-elected

Lindy Blanchard or Yom James?

I’m leaning towards Lindy…

Every GOP candidate will stomp whatever idiot the Dems trot out. This isn't 2017.

Democrats have no shot. They can't even tell who is running, I bet. I looked up who was running and have never heard of any of them.

The guy has been running for governor for 20 years and made a fortune from his dad’s political connections. Yet somehow people think he's some kind of anti-establishment candidate.

I’m open to supporting Lew, but right now we are playing for 2nd place to force a runoff…

As long as Ivey doesn't get 50%, then it doesn't matter who you vote for this time around.

She's in trouble once she gets 1-on-1. Hard to run her prevent defense campaign in a runoff. Also a runoff shatters the image that she's the most popular Governor in America. Her support is broad but thin.

I'm biased but I think Lew matches up better against Kay in a runoff.

If there is a runoff, I'll vote for whoever she's up against.

I'm not even joking when I say I'm going to vote for Dave Thomas in the primary. One of his primary planks is decriminalization.

It won't matter in the general, but it's waaaay past time that Republicans get away from "but muh Jesus said possession of 3.5 grams means you should never have the right to vote."

I'd hope maybe Lew or Lindy could get in the runoff, but I doubt it. I'll vote for Memaw over Tim James in a heartbeat, though, if it comes down to that.

I will likely vote for the legalization guy in the primary, though. I honestly don't think anyone has a chance to unseat Memaw, though.
