The media is really brutal on Kamala Harris.

With Tuesday’s announcement that Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has chosen Kamala Harris as his vice presidential running mate has brought intense scrutiny of the U.S. Senator, on everything from her record as California’s former Attorney General to what she has said about Biden in the Democratic presidential debates.

A more innocent subject has been her shoe game. Harris is a sneaker gal, and though there is more to her footwear choices than meets the eye, images of the senator in athletic shoes while on the campaign trail have overall been a breath of fresh air.

She seems to have a favorite. On a number of occasions while campaigning as a Democratic presidential candidate in 2019, Harris has worn pairs from Converse. It’s a fitting choice for any American politician, as the Massachusetts-based footwear brand has been a part of the country’s history for more than 112 years. But the VP candidate has given them a style all her own.

Whether they’re with a blazer and tailored pants or slim jeans and a casual shirt, Harris mainly wears Converse’s Chuck Taylor All Star low-top sneakers. It’s an easy-to-wear, unisex style that is one of the brand’s most iconic and best selling shoes. With them, Harris has established a winning outfit formula for the campaign trail that is simultaneously unfussy and easy to recognize.

While Harris mainly sticks to the style in its black, white and cream versions, she’s not afraid to try a platform shoe. At a campaign event in Des Moines, Iowa in August 2019, the then-presidential candidate wore a pair of Converse sneakers with a slight platform — a power move even if by an inch or so.

With Harris’s endorsement of the sneaker as a power shoe, we’re betting that the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star will get a big boost this election season.

...looks like absolute shite. You can wear sneakers with jeans but not with tailored pants and a blazer. That's the ridiculous Marty Smith "cool dad" look that is the antithesis of cool. If you're going to dress up, dress up.

The media overplayed their Trump hand. Their bias towards the dims will be painfully obvious.

Back when she was running, I told y'all over and over again that she was the establishment favorite and I kept waiting for the big push of arse-kissing articles to start to cement her as the media tabbed darling.

She was so unlikable she had to drop out before they could do it, or more likely, after Tulsi stuck a knife in her belly, the establishment had her drop out to protect her from any more damage, knowing all along she'd take over for Biden after the Convention.

I promise you they have 50 more articles just like this queued up. She'll probably get a Sports Illustrated cover too.

She’s gonna be the next Michelle Obama for the MSM. Every superlative will be used to describe her fashion, her person and every aspect of her life.

The last time Converse All Stars were famous is when hey were worn by the Boston Celtics Fifty years ago in the days of Bill Russel, Bob Cousy and John Havlicek. If she wins I guess there will be a Harris jersey hanging in the rafters at Boston Gardens.

The media will find as many ways to praise Harris as they did to bash Sarah Palin.

This has to be quite the quandary for King James. He can’t switch over from Nike to Converse. Papa Xi spank.

That filed for bankruptcy two days after the Clinton administration ended, and shortly thereafter moved the entirety of its manufacturing to China.

I find it increasingly difficult to believe our news media can be trusted to cover any serious subject objectively.

Amazign how our country's traditions can be seen positively when it helps to paint a rosy picture for a Democrat candidate.
