This is really frustrating, but why pass a bill like this? If a democrat comes up with media and big tech negotiating, when the hell would a republican agree to it? On top of that, why do it with 6 weeks till election time.
I really don't even know what this thing would do. All I know Democrats want it, it involves media and big tech....no thank you.

Just like you would be against a pro gun bill just because all Republicans were for it.
I do know that this appears to hurt smaller media and gives more power to the conglomerates who would basically end up controlling the "cartel".

Oh good grief. They voted to advance it out of committee where it has no chance of getting 60 votes to move to a vote by the end of the year.*
Just because they advance it doesn’t mean they’ll vote for it.
The Dems have passed two things this year. One of them had to be rammed through the reconciliation process to avoid a filibuster (Yes, I agree the Repubs screwed that up).
