quote:

Mitch McConnell is putting Big Business on notice: There will be "serious consequences" if corporate America continues acting like "a woke parallel government." The broadside from the Senate minority leader, who has aligned himself with the business community for decades, is just the latest sign of a fraying alliance between big companies and the Republican Party. In the wake of the cancellation of the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in Georgia over new election laws there, McConnell (R-Ky.) flashed frustration that companies appear to be taking direction from Democratic complaints about the law. Our private sector must stop taking cues from the Outrage-Industrial Complex. Americans do not need or want big business to amplify disinformation or react to every manufactured controversy with frantic left-wing signaling," McConnell said in a lengthy statement on Monday. "Corporations will invite serious consequences if they become a vehicle for far-left mobs to hijack our country from outside the constitutional order." “I remember way back when Democrats and the elite establishment said it was dead-wrong for Washington, D.C., to overturn state-certified election results. No, wait, that was two months ago,” McConnell said two weeks ago. Since then, MLB pulled the All-Star Game from Georgia under pressure from Biden and other Democrats who have taken to calling the new voting law a form of modern "Jim Crow" restrictions. Passed after Biden and two Democratic Senate candidates prevailed in Georgia, the law expands voter ID requirements and makes changes to early and mail-in voting in the state. McConnell said "nobody really thinks this current dispute comes anywhere near the horrific racist brutality of segregation. “From election law to environmentalism to radical social agendas to the Second Amendment, parts of the private sector keep dabbling in behaving like a woke parallel government," McConnell said on Monday. "Businesses must not use economic blackmail to spread disinformation and push bad ideas that citizens reject at the ballot box.”

Mitch gearing up to announce the government will now destroy the right to political speech. Idiots will rally and support him.

He’s not “worried” about this, McConnell is one of the main reasons corporations are becoming de facto government. He quite frankly can eat the biggest bag of dicks he can find and choke on them.

Like McConnell cares. He gets his kick backs and complains every now and then so his base sees him in the news.

glad he noticed.

it's going to up to the companies if or how humanity deals with climate. pollution: food production: fisheries.

as human race we've flunked fisheries 101.

taking a D in water pollution.
hard D on air pollution.

unlikely humans survive any real catastrophe unless theres money in it.

Yes, McConnell will demand a sharp increase in their political donations.

Exactly. If McConnel is worried about anything it's that he will be useless as the "opposition" party as this happens. His theatrics will no longer be needed.

They couldn't care less what mcconnell says, he won't do shite. Best thing to do is follow president Trump's lead and stop spending money on these "woke" companies. Let their low income sheep support them and lets see how that goes.

It is amazing how fast the cult of Trump turned on Mitch.

Trump would have gotten NOTHING done without him.

The messenger doesn’t concern me, but the message does.
The Dems and communist China have discovered they can use cooperations to do their bidding. Things they could never get done by legislation.

Yeah, I think you are giving Mitch too much credit for getting the important things done... He did Trump no favors and missed opportunity after opportunity...

This. Started. Under. Bush.

Can we please stop pretending like Republicans are going to stop this? Nothing short of Fight Club style rebellion is going to put an end to the corporate takeover of America.

You just attributed this to Dems and the CCP.

Republicans are full on board with this. Bush started it. This is why the establishment GOP got all pissed about Trump declaring war on the bushes.

Someone posted this the other day. Couldn't be more timely. We've known the truth since at least 1976.
