Because he loves war, especially in the Middle East. Nothing makes Bill Kristol harder than sending other people to die in never ending foreign wars.
He also loves having and using a massive, all powerful IC. It’s what helped get us into Iraq, after all.
Finally, he fully shares the democrats’ vision that government should only be run by a small group of elitists, untouchable and accountable to no one, that rule over the disgusting and crude masses of common people.
Trump is the opposite of what he wants in all of these areas.

Because Trump made him look like a fool when Kristol basically said Trump didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of being president. Remember the conservative rag Weekly Standard? It was co-founded by Kristol and had to fold like a cheap suit in Dec. 2018 because many of its readers didn't appreciate the constant bashing by the rag on Trump.
So, animosity against the guy who slayed Kristol's golden goose of expressing his views probably has a lot to do with his treatment of Trump.

It’s so much more than just being a philosophical War- mongering neocon or pro-Israel. Our glorious Orange President, I will remind you, is the most pro- Israel President in our history. It is also extreme RULING CLASS hubris. It is an entitlement so complete, and so all- encompassing, that just saying he is a war- mongering Neocon doesn’t even begin to do it justice. This is an existential crisis level event for these guys- Trump is driving them to extinction, they have lost all their chips in this game.
