Masks Will Save Lives! (Fact Check: Mostly False)

Almost every MSM “expert” is loudly and proudly claiming that if you wear a mask in public, you’ll save lives. In fact, by wearing a mask, you are probably endangering your own life.
Before you tar and feather me, note that I am a physician. I do not play one on TV like Anthony Fauci or Deborah Birx. I spent thirty-six years wearing a surgical mask on a daily basis. And it always felt so good to take it off when I left the operating room. I didn’t realize why until recently.

Not good. It’s much like breathing in the paper bag to get your CO2 up when you’ve been hyperventilating. But this time you started at normal and added the paper bag, which has 16% oxygen and 5% carbon dioxide instead of 21% oxygen and 0% carbon dioxide. Your CO2 starts at normal and goes up. Your O2 starts at normal and goes down. Now you are smarter than Facebook’s fact checker. But what should we expect from a “journalist” who’s trained in “political science?”
What happens with low oxygen? You get air hunger and breathe harder unless you’re one of the ten percent with Altitude/Mountain Sickness, which lets your oxygen keep falling. Air hunger isn’t comfortable, and getting that mask off relieves it. High CO2 also creates air hunger. It dilates blood vessels in the brain, causing the headache so many mask wearers complain about

Then why DOES he wear the mask in surgery?

I’m printing this out on a business card for my doctors excuse.

You would have to wear a mask for prolonged periods of time to experience what he is saying.
Like hours.
It is way better for society for you to wear your mask from the car to the store, buy your shite, go back to the car and remove your mask. No one is asphyxiating from that.

I would say he is required to do so to prevent (or at least reduce) the spread of bacteria from his mouth/nose to the patient he is performing surgery on, and vice versa. Sounds an awful lot like the point of masks during COVID-19.

Can you possibly be this stupid?
He wears a mask because it is REQUIRED by the hospital. No mask no entry into the operating room. Would you have him do YOUR surgery in your garage where he isn't bound by hospital rules?
Geeze just sleep in if you aren't going to add any constructive to the conversation.

Anti-maskers: Please organize as many mask-err-ade parties as you can. Invite as many CV+ friends as possible. Remember, you lose this contest if you leave the party or go to the hospital. Show them baws what it’s like to be a man even if it means dying for your cause.

Anyone wearing a mask by choice falls into one of the below categories;
1) Virtue Signaling
2) Brain dead sheep
3) Actively encouraging the hysteria to promote fear for political purposes
4) Scared little bitch
So which are you?

The masks don't stop coronavirus. They're being used as a sign of "social" obedience and conformity. That's it.

Because people are walking around with open surgical fields in their chest and/or abdomen.

So he wore a surgical mask for 36 years and is still alive. Yet if I wear one it's going to endanger my life?
Yeah. I'll listen to this bag of wind...

Because the people of Hong Kong are incredibly fastidious when it comes to hygiene. The city has always been incredibly clean as well, because of this.
This is true in Japan as well.
The Chinese by comparison to do not practice good hygiene.

Then why DOES he wear the mask in surgery?
It is to protect HIM from the patient. They do NOT run every conceivable test on a person about to undergo surgery. They run some common checks only, maybe something else with probable suspicion.
So now he's going to cut open people exposing himself to everything inside them. And a surgical mask is specifically called "droplet protection", as in blood/bodily fluids droplets.
Summary: Personal droplet Protection is what a surgical mask provides. Not droplets FROM a surgeon, droplets TOWARDS a surgeon.
(If a surgeon or surgical mask wearer is going to sneeze/cough their droplets are gonna fly out the sides as well as under/over the little mask btw. Droplets flying towards a wearer will hit the mask rather than the area covered.)
N95 masks have a wholly different intended use and mechanism from surgical masks. Same as a hammer is different from a saw.

What? LOL...
ETA: I’m not wearing a mask because it’s stupid, but I believe they wear surgical masks to protect the patient.

How is COVID 19 transmitted? That is the fundamental question to be addressed. You develop your defense around that answer.
Posted on 7/3/20 at 11:56 am to Wolfhound45
Good point, and good logical thinking.
These people are writing the book backwards, they’re assuming masks will help, rather than trying to understand how transmission works, and creating an intervention based on that.
