Mark Levin’s New Book - and What’s Wrong with Communism. . . Elitism
Posted by Wednesday on 7/24/21 at 10:36 am173
I haven’t read Mark Levin’s new book yet. But I gotta say I’ve read Liberty and Tyranny twice - bc it’s that great and informative. I remember the first time I read it being stunned that a radio host wrote it. Its a great civics and history lesson. It’s what made me realize that Levin is legit and why I will usually stop to listen to what he has to say (even when he’s having a ranting meltdown). His books are generally based in historical data, and document texts (eg federalist papers, dec of independence, COTUS, and in the case of Liberty and Tyranny de Tocqueville) .
I saw an interview with Levin about his new book and I’m definitely going to read it. He was making a point that I assumed he makes in the book that no communist revolution in history was ever started by the regular people the commies were claiming to represent. They revolutionaries were usually educated elitists. There was never any mass demand for it, but instead, it’s imposition was due to the totalitarianism of a “few” who believe they are more qualified to govern than the unwashed many. I think that’s a fascinating observation.
I’m wondering if any of you have read it and can comment. I’m going to read it to see how he documents it. He usually documents well.
Anyhoo. . . Interesting premise. I will report once I get around to reading it.

Levin is quite brilliant, I personally can’t stand to listen to him because of his rants and temper. I’ve heard that Marx was inspired by Satan, and if true, I would guess all communists follow that vein.

Description
The late Reverend Richard Wurmbrand spent 14 years as a prisoner of the Communist government in Romania , where he was persecuted for his faith in Jesus Christ. His experience led him to spend further years researching Karl Marx and the Communist doctrines he developed. While Communism portrays itself as a noble endeavor for the good of mankind, and claims an Atheistic view, Wurmbrand exposes its true roots, revealing that Karl Marx and the fathers of the modern Communist/Socialist movements were inspired by the powers of darkness.
By examining the confessions, writings, and poetry of Marx and his followers, the author demonstrates how the "prince of darkness" gave these men the "sword" by which they have terrorized the nations. Wurmbrand proves that this movement is not simply the work of greedy men, hungry for wealth and power, but is "after the working of Satan" with the intent of destroying mankind.

Bongino was talking about it this week. He said Levin sold like 400,000 copies the first week and blew away any week that Bongino had with his own books.
He was encouraging people to go buy and read it. I think I will.

I have a trip this wk. Will read.
I just read a review on Amazon (the irony so very thick it made me smile at myself)- and the reviewer said he hopes it is the modern day Common Sense.
So do I .
Rally Patriots. We’re in a cold civil war with communists in our own country. We’re smarter than them. And better.

Levin was an early Freeper who posted often. Brilliant guy but I can't listen to the voice. He has tight cords.

His tantrums are why I watch him. He’s a real freedom lover.

Marx
Marx never had a stable job and lived off his dad’s allowance for a period of time and his friend’s property and money. His dad thought of him as a disappointment because Karl never contacted them. The most ironic thing is his friend (Engels who helped him publish the Communist Manifesto) was well off because his dad was owned large textile factories.
So essentially Marx didn’t work with the working class and lived an easier life then many indirectly because of capitalism. He bashes the very thing that allowed him to spend time creating his bullshite philosophy.
So it makes complete sense that many western communists today are privileged brats with little sense of how people or the world actually works. Just following in his footsteps.

Yes, but it’s nice to have arguments that don’t just appeal to the retarded and insane. I suggest anything by Milton Friedman for a data driven example of why communism, liberalism, and any attempt to intervene in the marketplace are destined to not work and also create a good deal of pain
