Mark Levin on F&F this morning

He spent a long monologue defending the constitution, in general.
His specific point was interesting: 22 of the previous 44 presidents faced what Trump now faces with regard to the SC. Whether to nominate a justice in an election year, lame duck or otherwise. All 22 (100%) sent a nomination to the senate since it is a constitutional duty. Everyone from G. Washington to B. Obama. It wouldn’t be unprecedented if Trump nominates a replacement to fill the empty seat, it would be unprecedented if he DIDN’T. Surely all the wizard lawyers in the democrat congress can figure this out too, right?

Trump will be on Levin tonight. Levin is dialed in; he knows what is at stake, and will reinforce this to Trump. No prisoners from here forward. Damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead.

The only thing they are concerned with is lying as often and convincingly to distract the public from facts and make Trump look like a tyrant.
Just like with Kavanaugh, and the fake grope story from 30+ years ago.
The Left doesn't care about the truth.

Would a company that has nine board members on it wait four months to appoint a new board member after a board member died?
I'd bet the farm they would not.

F&F another Fox show that I don't watch. Just awful.

I wish you were one of Trumps advisors.

This term lame duck has been the latest entry into the common lexicon that needs to be properly acknowledged (and this isn’t a knock on you NineLineBind, its been a general recent utilization throughout our collective consciousness).
Please correct me if I’m wrong, but a lame duck occurs AFTER elections have led to a change in leadership, before that new leadership takes their newly elected position.
At the moment, the President, and Senate are in their duly elected positions, and are sworn to do their duly elected duties. I’ve seen many instances of referring to the current status of the leadership as lame duck, simply because their is a pending future election.
As long as our nation continues to exist, there will be a pending future election. Should we just stop all their duties the moment they’re sworn in?

You’re not wrong.

I was just synopsizing (if that’s a word) what Levin spoke of. His point was that in all cases the constitution requires the president to fulfill the duty of making a nomination.
