Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed quickly, therefore the hearts of the sons of men among them are given fully to do evil. Ecclesiastes 8:11

What we need is speedy justice done in the sight of the public. Crime will drop drastically.

Are they members of a white supremacy group in Florida by chance?

Public hangings...I fully support

The problem is most cases aren't cut and dry. Sometimes justice takes time

I don't think treating "Iosh was wrong" like a combination of Christmas and Bastille Day is going to have the effect you think it will

I see the idiot resident libs are already chiming in. You presented a good idea, but used a quote from the bible which makes their tiny brains short circuit.

I agree with you OP. The justice system process needs to be streamlined.

a. it won't. we already have an authoritarian police state with draconian penalties. crime has also dropped dramatically from the 80s/90s. there is only so much more we can add and so much more lower the crime rate can go

b. that's illegal, immoral, and terrible policy

All appeals exhausted in one year followed by a public hanging in capital cases. HOWEVER , this requires a completely honest police force and prosecutor committed to finding the truth not closing the case. So it will never happen.

Also I have tons of faith that our exceptionally functional and honest govt will execute only the guilty, every time.

Nah. These people who perform these types of crimes really have no appreciation for th sanctity of human life. They don’t care if the live or die.

The actual gun problem is that we have many stolen and or black market weapons out in the public. The vast majority of the gun deaths (suicides not included) are the result of a firearm in the hands of someone who did not legally purchase it.

How do you actually stop that problem? Short of searching everyone in the US’ person and property for illegal firearms (which I am extremely against), I do not see a solution.

Are you saying that punishment is not a deterrent?

How we conservatives have become the party that is for less oversight and restraint on the state’s authority to use violence against its own citizens is mind boggling to me.
