Manchin, Sinema join GOP to sink filibuster change for voting bill

Senate Democrats failed to change the legislative filibuster for a voting bill on Wednesday night, after Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Krysten Sinema (D-Ariz.) voted with Republicans to oppose the rules reform, handing President Biden and the party a stinging defeat.
Senators voted 52-48 to defeat the proposal. To have been successful, Democrats would need total unity from all 50 of their members plus Vice President Harris to break a tie.
The outcome of the vote was telegraphed, but it marks a defeat of Democrats’ months-long push to pass voting rights legislation, even if it meant changing the rules so they could go it alone.
Even as the effort appeared poised to fall short, Biden and Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) poured time and political capital into the fight.

the stupid dumbass told on them today and said that they told him 'Joe, we will lose our primary if we ever voted for your bills.'
so now that they are exposed outright as fakes now there is no way they will vote for the hot messes. even if Oprah's fat arse called them.

Let’s not go that far.
Those two know that their careers would be over if they flipped. Schmuck spent too much time trying to bully them and not enough buying them off to vote for this.

Probably add Romney and Cassidy. I could even make an argument for that worthless Turtle worm.

Means the establishment in the dems didn’t want either.
These things aren’t brought to a vote without knowing the outcomes

Now, the moment Republicans have the Senate and the Presidency, they need to gut the filibuster like a fricking fish.

So all those other democrats are now on the record as wanting to flip our republic on its' head. Tester in Montana and Brown in Ohio gotta go. Add Kelly in Arizona.

The Democrats have already told you what they're going to do. They didn't "do the right thing" here. They simply came up 2 votes short.
We are at war. They lost the battle. If we end up on the field of battle with the advantage, we better take it, cause if the Dems find those 2 votes, the filibuster is dead. Hence, we might as well be the ones to kill it.
Look at it this way. They just shot at you right between the eyes. We're lucky they missed, but, it's not that they didn't try.

Both Sinema and Manchin live in states that are pretty damned Republican. This was a Republican save thru and thru.

Ok, please tell me. I can't watch any of the stuff. What is the latest shite Schumer has to say about it? Is he going to bring it up again next week? Then the week after and so on?
