lol lol lol
Senate Democrats are nearing an agreement on a compromise version of their sweeping voting rights bill, the For The People Act, to be able to secure the support of Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), the lone Democrat to oppose the original bill.[/quote]

The compromise bill trims the original For The People Act to meet the outline of compromise legislation Manchin put forward in June, according to sources. It includes most of the voter access expansions and election administration provisions in the original bill, including mandatory early voting, automatic voter registration and other key voting rights elements that were originally taken from the late John Lewis’ Voter Empowerment Act.

This bill is the dems’ ONLY shot at salvaging the 2022 midterms, but I still think they lose.
The dems would risk potential disaster if they were to blow up the filibuster and still lose…though the dem president would just veto everything.
Then the SCOTUS would have definite legal grounds to overrule this blatantly unconstitutional power grab.
But John Roberts tho.
There are legitimate hurdles.
I just don’t think it passes.
Edit:
I’m not sure how it’s being handled, but the piece that allows congress to appoint “neutral” litigators to oversee boundaries being redrawn is nothing but a way to ensure only democrats can gerrymander.

So I'm clear...States just give up their voting procedure laws/rights with a partisan vote in Congress?
Seems there are some things that kind of deserve more than that.
If so...thanks Georgia.

There's around a zero percent chance they lose in 2022.

Did anyone really believe Manchin would abstain from a yeah vote. Dems will control elections and essentially have permanent rule.

It's going to be really interesting to see how the media spins the fact that dems will have a constant majority yet a constant 30% approval rating

Manchin is done and he knows it. Barely won last time and would certainly lose to Morrissey in a rematch today. He'll cave to anything but he'll have to cave to ending filibuster for his vote here to mean anything

If you lived through the 2020 elections and think that the number of votes has anything to do with who wins the election There is nothing I can tell you.

So, no reason to vote if it's rigged for the left to win.
All hope is lost so, sit on your hands and keep your mouths shut.

No doubt. Now they are looking to control any audits being done. Take away the states running their elections.

= Once again West Virginia looks like fools for electing a Democrat for senator.

If you don’t own land, you can’t vote.
What is so hard about this?

I actually don’t think this bill is even constitutional but I’m sure SCOTUS will rubber stamp it

Yeah, it's been a real comedy show since Clinton.

Look, a-hole, we had no idea our governor was a CCP plant until after the election. Before that, our option was him or gap-toothed Mammy. Not exactly a rising tide of patriotic sentiment coming from either of them

Yeah just got to hope it gets tied up long enough to have 22 go thru, and somehow the repubs can find a way to delay it for 24. Then hopefully it's reversed.
Politics in this country has def come to royally suck. Problem with the whole "needs to evolve" mentality the left purposely pushes. Nothing stable when the rock foundation is chipped away at.
