Rodriguez, of Kingsville, was in Corpus Christi for a night out and says he was denied entry to Whiskey River nightclub because he was wearing fake eyelashes and lipstick.

"I literally had to walk back to my car and rip my false lashes off and wipe off my lipstick. "I was so upset, I mean, who wouldn't be?"

So brave.

quote:

"Unfortunately, that's currently not against the law in Texas," said Chuck Smith, the chief executive officer of Equality Texas, an advocacy group for LGBTQ Texans.

It's not against the law for a private business to have a dress code.

It's not even against the law for a public entity to have a dress code.

I fail to see the problem.

Your point, Mr. LGBTQ spokesman. By the way, isn't the Q redundant. If you are L or G, then aren't you queer? Or is Q an even weirder subset of this already weird group?

They aren’t even sure what all the letters actually mean...give it time, the entire alphabet will represent some sick perversion.

They are allowed, and should be, but I think it’s a bit silly that a bar is drawing a hard line at some lipstick

I remember when South Park did the NAMBLA episode, thinking it was just a joke, that shite is real.

How long before LGBTQXYZF aligns with these sick fricks?

The "Q" stands for "questioning" as in one who is wondering if they are gay. The potential recruits.

Bless his heart. He will be scarred for life. Imagine the suffering he went through to take off his fake eyelashes and makeup in the car.

It’s “unfortunate” that it’s not illegal for a private business to control its dress policy.

That’s some scary shite.

... and potential legals damages from broads hastily applying makeup in rear view mirrors after being denied entry with friends.

Indeed.

And if you're an L, aren't you a G?

If business establishments can freely dictate that people with MAGA hats aren't allowed in.. then I've no problem with guys in make-up not being allowed.

I think it is even sillier that the moral standards of a finking bar in Texas is too high a hurdle for the DEMs to tolerate.

Why didn’t he just go to a gay bar? There are several in Corpus Christi.

Whiskey River ain’t no gay bar.
