If you ask your typical sales guy, most will not hesitate to tell you the truth

Manufacturing is in crisis mode

Same is true with other industry product inventory

Try ordering a boat. Some manufacturers are sold out of 2022 pre-orders. You can't order from them until April to wait on a 2023 model.

The industrial business is in the same mode....long lead times and higher prices....I have a hard time quoting projects accurately and timely.

JOE BIDEN is the reason!

Went to my local Ford dealership last month and the service manager told me they normally have 400 vehicles on the lot and that they currently had 35.

Because some questions need answers.

We know "Manufacturing is in crisis mode". Big fricking duh on that.

I’ve said this before but this was one of trumps huge strengths. The shortage is with semi conductors with cars. Trump would be on the phone with whatever manufacturer he could get to take a call figuring out how to get the inventory back up. He would also be finding a way to get American businesses to start producing what is causing whatever shortage.

Biden is too busy eating ice cream and going to sleep at noon.

Can't buy a new bush hog at TSC, they're sold out in all of TX, LA, MS.

Waiting on a new trailer tire / rim for my boat - on order since 7/30.

Washing machine went out (high end Maytag) part on backorder - no ETA.

Half full?

Not sure where you live but try 10-15% around BR. Lots are basically empty skate parks.

The global economy and trying to build products from thousands of different parts sourced from 100 different countries was bound to bite us in the arse sooner or later.

I honestly hope manufacturers learn their lesson. Whatever short term gains they are making from low supply and high demand will not pay for the long term shortfall of lower volume from not having anything to sell.

Sooner is here and we are fricked until we start making stuff in our own country. And government gets out of the way enough to make that profitable again.

This is why I am replacing the compressor on my 7 y/o vehicle instead of trying to buy a new one.

Mercury Marine quit quoting Outboard Engine delivery time lines, when they quit they were at 56 weeks. Now they just say we'll let you know when your engine is a couple months out. My dealer I use has over 300 engines backordered across 3 different manufacturers.

i already said this, another shut down, and another UE stipend and we will have food shortages and the beginnings of a famine.

Grocery stores are running short already, go take a look at a wal mart, and especially their deli meat section
