I did a search for "voter registration" and couldn't find a thread.

I was checking the news today and apparently a lot of people went to vote in the primaries this weekend and their party affiliation had been changed and therefore they weren't allowed to vote. There is now a FB group about it.

You can check here.

I'm almost positive I was registered as an R but now it shows "no party".

Anyone here run into problems or notice their affiliation changed?

Wow, at any other time, I wouldn't believe it. I don't want to believe it, but I do.

Friend of mine worked the polls last Saturday and noted there were a whole lot more "No Party" registrations among POC than in the past.

Me and my wife were registered No Party and Independent, respectively. (I was in the media but am now retired.)

And while reading this thread we thought to check our status and then decided to change over to the GOP like we’ve voted for the past 40+ years.

Thanks for the links. The first day in my life as an official Republican.

Thank you for reminding me to do that. Its been Republican for 24 years. Never remembered to change it at a time when I could.

Maybe you aren't really lying, you just can't remember for shite.
Do you honestly believe someone changed your party affiliate? So do you think someone got your license# and audit# and went online and changed it for you, or do you think someone in the SOS department did it, or do you think someone hacked the SOS and changed a few party affiliates around for some people?
Explain to me how you think this happened.

I couldn’t tell you how it happened, all that I know is when we put in our information it said that we are registered Democrats, WE HAVE NEVER BEEN REGISTERED DEMOCRATS!!

Well that's the only way it can happen. It didn't magically happen. You either did it, or someone else did, and the only way someone else did it to you, is if they had your license to get the info off it to log in and change it. Maybe your daughter did it to piss you off.

I know my grandpa made my dad register democract, and he's still a registered democrat, and i'm pretty sure he's never voted for a democrat in his life. Hell i'd bet that if my grandpa was still alive, and knew how to use the internet, he'd go online and change it for him back to democrat.

This happened to my coworker and her mother. They couldn’t vote and she’s now having to go to the Voter Office downtown BR.
