Louisiana Rep. Kenny Havard says Saints access to state dollars should be cut(protest)

Louisiana State Rep. Kenny Havard, R-St. Francisville, said Monday morning that he wants to cut millions in state tax dollars, exemptions and credits allocated to the New Orleans Saints, the NFL and any of those groups' associated facilities that receive funding.
Havard's announcement comes a day after a group of Saints players participated in a protest during Sunday's national anthem before their game against the Panthers. Protests were the focus around the NFL on Sunday as players chose different methods to demonstrate after controversial comments from President Trump late last week.
"The very reason (the Saints) have the privilege and opportunity to play professional football while being paid millions is because someone in uniform died protecting their right to do so," Havard said. "It is a disgrace to the men and woman of this nation and state who have sacrificed so much."LINK

Can he cut government access to taxes while he’s at it?

NFL makes billions off of tax breaks. Stop cutting their taxes, and they'll be on their knees all the time, begging for hand outs

I just want the military to bow the frick out.

Professional sports should NOT get tax breaks or any public funds.

SouthPark was half right on predicting a Trump tweet would have this country fighting each other this week.

Well i agree these leagues are screwing the taxpayer so i have no problem with this, although the reason it took to get this guy there is silly.
Posted on 9/25/17 at 10:09 am to BowDownToLSU
That should be done regardless of any silly kneeling shenanigans

Jesus fricking Christ.
Let the players look like douchebags and have it reflect on them and the NFL. Don’t one-up them to get the focus back on you.

he's an idiot. i dont agree with the players doing this but I sure am glad I live in a country if one chooses so can do this without the fear of retribution just like the ability for the president to say what he feels freely.

While I'm not a huge fan of the kneeling-- isn't this literally government punishing for free speech at that threshold?
