Lots of white space on Monday night helmets

I, of course, am not watching this game, but I couldn't help noticing that the front helmet tabs and collars are absent any team identifiers. What kind of political hijinks are up here? Chiefs and Redskins emblems aplenty on jerseys and helmet side stickers. Who knows?

NFL took off the name lettering on the front and back plastic white clips on the helmet. The OP is correct in thinking the NFL most likely had them removed to be senstive to Indians.

Not really a point, just a legit curiosity. It caught my eye flipping through the channels - stands out like a sore thumb. No logo on front or rear helmet rubbers. Somebody made some SJW comments about NFL promoting Chiefs vs Redskins and I wondered if this was related. That's all - downvote away.

League is clearly trying to white wash "Redskins" - it hasn't been shown at any point tonight (they default to logo) and you could tell that McDonagh and Gruden are trying to say "Washington" when they'd normally say "Redskins"
