Looking ahead, how will Joe Manchin vote on HR#1?
Posted by tigerpawl on 1/26/21 at 7:58 am10
There seems to be no stopping the craziness surrounding HR#1. Next stop: the Senate.
1) Nationwide Mail-In Voting
2) Legalized Limitless Ballot Harvesting
3) Prohibits Attempts To Clean Voter Rolls
4) Murderers & Rapists Can Vote
5) Internet-Only Registration With Electronic Signature
6) Banning Voter Registration Requirement Of Full SSN
7) Nationwide Same-Day Registration
8) Banning Voter ID
9) Congressional Takeover Of Redistricting
10) 16-Year Old Voter Age
11) Regulates Freedom Of Speech
12) Aims To Eliminate Anonymous Speech
13) DC Statehood
How will Joe Manchin (and other centrists Democrat senators) vote? Manchin has a history of being an independent thinker...
NOV2020: "So don’t expect much to be said about Joe Manchin in Georgia. But if the two Democrats win, you’ll be hearing a lot more about Manchin shortly thereafter. It is his name that is truly on the Georgia Senate ballots in January."

I mean, what's there to lose by not voting Yes?
It pretty much seals the deal for elections going forward.

But why does a Politician vote against a bill that pretty much just guarantee's they will never be voted out.
I wasn't asking what "We" have to lose.

If you want to know how Manchin will vote, just ask yourself how a worthless commie would vote and you will have your answer.

Unlike obamacare.....
If you like your consistent flow of kickbacks, you may keep them by voting 'yes'

10) 16-Year Old Voter Age
Of all those absurd recommendations, this one takes the cake.

Looking ahead, how will Joe Manchin vote on HR#1?
There seems to be no stopping the craziness surrounding HR#1. Next stop: the Senate.
1) Nationwide Mail-In Voting - he won't get chance to
2) Legalized Limitless Ballot Harvesting This is nonsense
3) Prohibits Attempts To Clean Voter Rolls This is nonsense
4) Murderers & Rapists Can Vote He won't get a chance to
5) Internet-Only Registration With Electronic Signature He won't get a chance to
6) Banning Voter Registration Requirement Of Full SSN He won't get a chance to

11) Regulates Freedom Of Speech - This is nonsense
12) Aims To Eliminate Anonymous Speech This is nonsense
13) DC Statehood He won't get a chance to
Literally none of these things are going to happen.

He has already publicly announced that he is against getting rid of the filibuster, the green new deal, making DC and Puerto Rico states, and the other radical aspects of the democratic platform. So this would be DOA in the senate since the senate is unlikely to scrap the filibuster. Plus I highly doubt that this passes the House in the first place. The dems only have a 4 vote majority in the House and there are 18 blue dog democrats and 5 of them are in districts that Trump won in 2020.
Even if it did become law by some miracle it would never stand up in the courts. The constitution gives states the authority to set their voting laws and lowering the age to 16 would require a constitutional amendment.

States will fight this because it’s clearly unconstitutional.
If the scotus doesn’t uphold the constitution, states will start looking to secede.

As a swing voter he will sell his votes.
Biden: 'Ya gonna vote with us on this one, Joe?'
Manchin: 'Well, ya know my hometown in W. Va. sure needs a new high school building. The old one is gettin' dilapidated.'
Biden: 'Oh, I think we can help ya there, Joe.'
