It's really not rocket science that this result will help the GOP in the midterms.
It's almost like when a 11-1 NFL team loses to a 2-10 team after they've locked up their division and it's the necessary wake-up call for them to button up and clinch home field the next week.
I understand that the Dems are motivated and running at a +5 to +15 clip, but they still have to flip 40 or so seats in a midterm election with the spectre of a Trump impeachment to motivate Trump voters and Indy voters to turn out.
