Just proving that just reopening won’t get everything rolling again. The vaccine needs to come and it needs to be good

Hide in your basement, Karen.

The vaccine won’t be 100%...
So will it be deemed effective enough by the government overlords to ease up the restrictions and lockdowns, because if not, then really what is the point ??

I don’t believe this for a second
If that’s the case, why is our economy set to surge 35% (on annual basis) in Q3?

You mean the crushing lockdowns that caused record unemployment resulted in less demand from people who no longer had income and had to eat into much (or all) of their savings?
Wow, nobody could have seen that coming. Let's lock it down again because science.

They also leave out, "scaring the shite out of everyone between the ages of 1-55" who have almost zero risk.

So we should go back to complete shutdowns, wait another year to two years for a "good vaccine" because that would be better than opening things back up?

That’s bullshite. Houston is mostly re-open and restaurants and bars are slammed.

The cost of lumber has more than doubled in many places because of this shutdown causing a hell if a ripple effect, but just opening mills back up would be a horrible thing for the economy

My local brewery is busy as hell. Ran out of my favorite beer last night.

WTF is wrong with you people? You people act like a there's a black plague zombie virus that if you get it will kill you 99% of the time.
Its quite the opposite of that. Good Lord, a vast majority of you people are as spineless and pathetic as worms.

You should go drown yourself in the 40 Arpent Canal

We're not open. Let's open and see what happens to the economy.
Example:
Our gym was shut down for 2 months. Now, it's supposedly 'open'. But it's not. That's why the crowd pre-Covid of about 20 at my time is down to 8 now. The reason the other 12 aren't there is because the gym is not really open:
1. You can't use the sauna, steam room or hot tub.
2. You can't drink out of the water fountain.
3. You must wear a mask.
4. You must wipe your bar bell at each station.
5. The coffee lounge (for old people) is closed.
Same with college football.
The games are not shut down. But instead of 100,000 at the stadium they only let you have 20,000. The vendors have lost jobs.
Just open everything up with ZERO restrictions and let individuals decide what risks they want to take.
Then check the economy.

Author of that article used to work for The New Yorker, one of the hardest left leaning, pretentious publications on Earth. No thanks.
