The governor should in no way postpone this election. Roy Moore has not been convicted of anything, and he won his spot on the ballot fair and square.

If you claim to care about the rule of law then in no way can you support postponing the election.

What does the law say about the governor postponing the election?

$100 says Ivey postpones the election or there's some other procedural thing that delays it or removes Moore from the ballot.

My understanding is it can't be postponed, but not 100% sure. The GoP can de-certify Moore's nomination and if he wins, the election is ruled null and void and they schedule another one.

The AG already said Moore couldn't be removed

I wonder if the ALGOP is about to pull the rug on Moore. This will be devastating for the ALGOP if that happens.

If she postpones both side's heads will explode.

Are they implying that Moore and Trump were both out cruising the Gadsden Mall together in the late 70's?

Didn't the governor make a big deal about even scheduling this election this year vs. waiting until 2018 because the law said so?

No.

The law gave her the discretion. She is in a tight spot with regards to her political damage when she wants to run for re-election.

She is trying to walk a fine line to please everyone.

If there's something preventing Moore from representing the citizens of Alabama then it should be postponed.

Having said that, it better be a damn sight more convincing than the bullshite we've seen so far.

Canceling the election now would look like acknowledgment that Dems would have won , whether that would be the case or not.
