Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Saturday that it’s time for the U.S. to weigh an attack on Iranian oil refineries if the nation continues its “provocations.” He warned that such a raid would “break the regime’s back.”

Wonder where Linsey gets his money?

neocon gonna neocon.

It is rumored that Trump wants to try to relieve some of their sanctions.

IF this is true this is the first diplomatic act in these situations.

The sad thing is we have been here and done this and appeasing them, lifting sanctions--- does nothing, as Iran gets back door supported like Havana.

Obama fricked this up but more war isn't the answer.

There is going to be a response, just how involved we are remains to be seen. There are so many layers of intelligence over the gulf, it would be impossible for this type of attack, with a number of elements, to go unnoticed.

The Houthis Rebels get their arms from Iran (drones, in this case) just like SA gets theirs from US. If US Sanctions prevent Iran from selling their oil, then what good is it to them? They would have little compunction not to hammer SA's oil.

There is a binary choice re Iran. Either they get their nukes, or they don't. Iran is NOT going to willingly enter into any 'agreement' that removes their ability to get nukes. Period. No more than China will enter into any agreement that accepts the Idea of Personal/Individual Rights to Private Property. Their basic, First Premise is the "you didn't build that" idea, that it is the whole societal base that gives individuals the ability to imagine, develop and 'capitalize' off 'intellectual property'.

The only difference between Iran and China, is that Iran is Religious...while China is Secular Humanist. If Iran TRULY BELIEVES their Religion, then Martyrdom is the highest form of worship and next life reward. I.e., suicide, for the Cause. It would be a fatalistic gambit to allow such nuclear weaponry in the hands of suicidal, Religious fanatics.

Iran will push until push comes to shove. SA will be forced to act; they are likely in the planning stages of such action now...encouraged by Trump. If oil goes up, we cash in. We can muscle Iran...but China is a different animal.

Did US refineries get attacked?

If not, this isn’t our problem.

Agreed, even though I bought options in GUSH a couple of weeks ago, this seems to be the rationale of someone who wants oil prices to stay up after the spike, if we are truly free market, let these folks take care of themselves, we should not owe them any loyalty

I don't pretend to know all the ins and outs but if there is anyway we could deal with this without more war that's the way I would like to go. Seems to me we have lost enough of our young men and women in that wretched wasteland.

I disagree with Graham .... we should hit their Revolutionary Guard, all their military assets, weqpins storage facilities, naval bases and military housing and bases.... but not their oil fields.
