All touting it is bad that people keep their money and they will need to make a balloon payment to make up for it. No one has even seen the executive order to make these statements.

These same people probably blew Obama when he made a similar payroll holiday about 8 years ago.

Trump will get ALL of the credit and it will make the dems look bad. It also removes one of their bargaining chips off of the table. IF the dems try to say the EO is unconstitutional and sue, it will make them look even worse.
Many Americans need help due to COVID. The dems have done nothing. They want to hold Trump and repubs hostage and make them pay democrat cities so they can repair damage to their cities that they allowed to happen.
Trump gave them a chance, but they tried the same tactics they used the first time.
I hope trump has had enough and bypasses them on everything. This will make the dems look very bad. This makes them look like they don't care about any Americans that are suffering. It makes Trump look like the compassionate politician.

It’s a tactic to get Congress to make a deal. Dems don’t want Trump moving unilaterally and making him look stronger for November

If no deal by next week he said he has an executive order being drafted for unemployment and a retroactive pay roll tax holiday from july 1st through the end of the year

Dems have to make a deal or Trump will get ALL of the credit. Imagine the dems take Trump to court to sue him for giving increased UE Benefits to the unemployed. I would love to see this happen. It would guarantee that the dems lose in a landslide.

Well, I mean...

It's been pretty fricking clear for a while now that they don't give two shits about everyday John and Mary.

If they had their way with welfare, healthcare and entitlements for illegal immigrants, it would actually be more beneficial for most Americans to apply for and be granted Mexican citizenship, renounce USA citizenship, and then illegally reenter California and be handed everything they ever needed for nothing.

What would this look like in practice? Would I just get a lump check for all the fed taxes I paid since July 1?

Probably would get it in your return.

I also heard that it will be limited to $75k. I wounder if that is $75k per person and phased out beyond that like the stimulus checks?

Deep lefties don’t care. They blame republicans for a deal Not being done. I even state he had given them the option to extend the first benefit and they even deny that. He refused to fund schools? They asked for 100 billion he offered them 105 billion. He has met every demand but refuses to be held hostage by mail in voting and Democrat bail outs.
