Neither party, nor any administration/government in the United States has been 'conservative' in at least a century.
Just so you understand that you are eschewing pragmatic voting in favor of utopian fantasy.

It isn't that amazing.
I think it is. Any amount of thinking leads one to the obvious conclusion that our system of elections/government effectively prevents there from being more than two major parties. It amazes me that so many seemingly intelligent people cannot grasp that.
There is a reason there has always only been two (with limited exceptions that do not last beyond a single cycle)

All we heard for 4 years was handwringing about the uniparty, and the sellouts are back supporting it.

My issue is why is it that every race is Democrat/Republican/Libertarian?
Because Libertarians are used by Dems. Hell, Dems help fund Libertarian candidates all the time.

Whether it's intentional or not, refusing to engage in thought is what prevents growth from two parties.

It isn't a lack of understanding. It's recognition of mass stupidity and an active decision to not participate in it.

Which, in and of itself, is stupid.
Participating in such a way as to actually impact the outcome is the solution. Not throwing your hands up in a sanctimonious desire to feel principled.
We have big tent parties, we have always had big tent parties, and unless the Constitution is amended we will always have big tent parties. Choosing the lesser of two evils is the way that it is.
Pretending that anything else is possible within our system is absurd and self-defeating.

You not recognizing yourself as the root cause of the stupidity doesn't extend to anyone but you.

Republicans will never change, regardless. It's like libertarians refuse to admit or accept we are in self-preservation mode. We have the marxist democrat party that has completely succumbed to the leftist/socialist onslaught.
We have marxist democrats fixing elections, using the IRS to target citizens, using the DOJ, the FBI and the FISA court to target presidential candidates, using the FBI to target citizens every single day, using the ATF to restrict and violate constitutional rights, using city and state governments to restrict and violate constitutional rights, and now using private companies to restrict and violate constitutional rights.
And then we have libertarians advising us to stick to our principles, even if it gets more marxists elected. Hopefully they stick your principles in your breast pocket before they line you up against a wall and shoot you for not sufficiently supporting the marxist/communist agenda. Useful idiots.

I don't even understand what that is supposed to mean. Voting for Republicans over Democrats is not the root cause of the issue.
The root cause of the issue is the framework of our elections and legislature. It simply cannot be any other way.

And yet you help to put democrats in power. Congratulations are in order to you as well.
I've never voted or donated to a Democratic Party candidate in my lifetime. As Roger stated, start running more candidates like Massie and Paul then I'll start voting for them. Too bad those guys are the exception and not the rule.

The trump wing of the party is big gov, big spending. You want me to support shite I don't believe in. frick that
So sit by and let the Left takeover. That'll get you smaller government, for sure. Brilliant!

If the best you can do is blame voters for refusing to support garbage candidates, you're the problem, not the voters.

That is such a stupid line of thinking that I cannot really believe you would say this out loud. Progressives are not the same as Trumpsters. They're not remotely comparable.

Why are Massie and Paul registered Republicans and not Libertarians?

You people hate them
I remember when this wasn't true. Most on this board pretended to be libertarian leaning conservatives. Now, all you have to offer is "we're not the other guy."
Great salesjob.

Yep, right wing populism is so fricking different than left wing populism.
Remember the uniparty? Good times. When Trumpites were loathing the Republican party.
You people were frauds.
