Exactly.
Neither party cares about freedom as its just something that gets in the way of their authoritarian dreams.

If we were in a parliamentary system, third and fourth parties would be a force and worth looking at. We don't have a parliamentary system.

But to imply that they are as bad as marxist democrats is equally as stupid. Look at where we are after just 2 years of marxist democrat control, vs where we were with Trump.
There is so much wrong with this......
It doesn't get much more Marxist than the Patriot Act and the COVID lockdowns. It doesn't get much more Marxist than the '08 bailout or the COVID bailout.
Trump had the easiest job in the world on the economy. He deregulated and then demanded that the Fed keep interest rates at zero while artificially inflating the market. In fairness, this is what Obama did as well (except the deregulation part). In the end, we are paying for decades of shitty fiscal policy by both parties. They are equally bad for anyone that has fiscal responsibility and civil liberties as their two core key issues.

Does Britain have a Parliamentary system? If so what are the 3rd and 4th parties that are worth looking into over there? You have the Conservative party and the Labour party, name the others please.

Show me all the people in jail because Trump or Bush used the FBI as their personal political goon squad. Show me the illegal investigation and spying on the opposition candidate for president. Show me all the DAs who ignore enforcing the law because white middle class people are the ones breaking it.
Fiscally they both suck, no question. The left is WAY more authoritarian these days and it’s not even close.

When the economy crashes, nothing else will matter.
I have no faith in politics. I'll stand or fall without them. Anyone trusting either party to make your life better...

I don’t see anybody doing that but the gimmedat class at both ends of the economic spectrum.

And if you had to pick one, which party do you think would abolish the Patriot Act? Remember how the marxist democrat house slipped the PA extension into the emergency funding CR in 2019? I member.

and the COVID lockdowns.
Remind me again which party was all about the lockdowns? I'm pretty sure that conservatives across the country were raising hell about the government overreach. Even some republicans were raising red flags over it. How about this: Would you rather have been in Republican Florida for the Covid debacle, or Democrat Michigan?

Trump had the easiest job in the world on the economy.
I'd say he did a pretty good job with it, considering. Would you rather have the Trump economy, or the Democrat economy you have now? We can go over the numbers if you'd like, but if you need to, then there's no use in having this conversation with you anyway.

If someone's key issue isn't exterminating communism and Marxism out of American political discourse, then I don't care. That needs to be the number one focus right now. Deal with that, then we can start working on other shite.

Or a more immediate concern, which party do you think will use it to go after political opponents?
Some of these criticisms are legit, but they tard it up with the "there's zero difference" bit. I don't know how anybody remotely concerned about government's abuse of power can say that with a straight face in 2022. If the leftists aren't punished at the ballot box for it they're going to double and triple down with this shite.

Well said! The rest of it is re-arranging the chairs on the Titanic. One wonders what libertarians think will happen to taxpayer funded welfare when marxist democrats have 90% of the people on it as a way of mandating their marxist socialist agenda.

May I?
You mean those three libertarian leaning republicans? Ask any of the three of them if they would have preferred Hillary or Biden over Trump. Most of you say there's no difference.

No. I think it's f'n retarded to mention as ideal/prominent Libertarians, two members of Congress that have figured out that, even with their Libertarian views, it makes most sense for them and the country to register/vote Republican. You did this in a thread where Libertarians are explaining why voting for L's rather than R's makes sense, even though their votes, regardless of intent, do nothing but help Leftists get elected.

Do you remember what legislation made all this possible? You remember when then candidate Trump accused the Clinton campaign of using the FBI to use that legislation to spy on his campaign? Do you remember what liberal clown reauthorized that legislation while in office?

Trump is how we ended up with Biden.
Do better.
