Liberal white woman tweets defense of her going to Taylor Swift concert

Before I leave for NYC, here is my thread on seeing Taylor this weekend while she is dating a racist, Islamophobic, anti-semitic overall problematic white man. While I don't necessarily "owe" anyone this thread, it is important to me to take my public leadership seriously.
Some marginalized fans are choosing to keep engaging with Taylor's music at some level and some aren't. I am trying to figure out my place with my privilege.
Taylor's financial situation alone is enough reason for me to stand on the opposite side of her ethically. I want our government to tax the shite out of her earnings and will continue to vote to make that happen. Billionaires shouldn't exist.
This woman is a female pastor of a church for women. She has about 9,000 followers, so she's C-list at best, yet feels the need to explain why she is going to see Tay Tay. Her pinned tweet is about her "work on her memoir."
This is a problem that we don't talk about very much. Social media has made people think their opinion matters when it doesn't. It's total narcissism. Narcissism is a mental illness if it goes unchecked and it totally has.

It reminds me of a news story in Mississippi a few years back. A 20 year old woman, who basically had done nothing with her life except be a small time high school cheerleader was shopping her "life story." to be made into a film.
Her quote was along the line as "The world needs to hear my story." She said the highlight of her life was being a high school cheerleader. She had watched movies about cheerleading and reality TV and felt like "her story needed to be told."
She didn't overcome poverty, she didn't overcome a disease. She had just had a hard time being a cheerleader from Mississippi. She self published her memoir at 20 years old.

Couldn’t agree more. You see the same thing with athletes coming out of high school nowadays. They’ve always been told they were special, but now they 10 times the amount telling them that.
