Let's revisit all the absurd things government forced for coronavirus

Not so fondly thinking back to all the insane shite governments cooked up to "keep us safe from coronavirus" that made no sense:
- Six feet apart (later admitted to be an arbitrary number made up by the CDC on the spot).
- In that same vein, those stickers in elevators and in line telling you where to stand to stay out of the coronavirus death zone.
- Police tape to keep kids off outdoor playgrounds.
What else you got?

Those fricking facemasks

Arresting people at beaches when they were the only person on the beach.
People getting fired or having their careers derailed for refusing an untested vaccine.
The rise of "karens".
The use of the phrase "trust the science" when alot of what was being touted was anything but scientific.
Mask requirements for restaurant entry but not for actual eating.

C19 reflection threads are the best.

I went to the Painted Hills in the Spring of 2020. They had a park ranger at the gate to keep anyone from entering, even though there was only a handful of cars there and it's a massive park.

Bars closing an hour early because until
Midnight you were safe but from midnight to 1am was when the infections really took off

YOU WEAR YOUR frickING MUZZLE UNTIL YOU'RE SEATED GOD DAMMIT!
The fact that it all came out of the DOD, they turned petty, small, stupid ordinary people into mask cop/dictators, and revealed that your fellow citizens would put you on fricking boxcars for the camps if the TV man said so.
The biggest psyop, power grab and wealth transfer in human history. All in one.

The biggest thing government forced?
Public mistrust. The only people still clinging to the narrative are those who will be out of the gene pool soon enough.

My favorite was when I went to shoot hoops at the city park one day at lunch in first few weeks. I returned the following day and the rims were removed.

I still laugh when I see people walking around with mask on outside.
No better way to tell everyone you are an idiot.

Best I have is when the splashpad was open, but the playground equipment was taped off.
Oh one time, we had two families together and we couldn't sit at the same table, as if we all hadn't been around each other and in the same cars all day.

I live in the mountain west with tons of public land. I made sport of bypassing closed trailheads, entry stations, etc. I bushwhacked into national parks, state parks, campgrounds.
I have some acquaintances (not friends) in USFS that I'd brag to.
They didn't find it funny.
frick em for closing the very activities that people needed more of.

The removed all of the basketball hoops in our local park so kids couldn't play basketball.

I remember just turning around and leaving from grocery stores over that shite. It was so annoying.
or the arrows on aisles that 90% of people ignored.
Crazy how far away that seems to me now and it was only three years ago.
I will say the 3 month paid vacation was glorious though.
