Most people in the world want the illusion of safety and security provided by a monarchy/government. They want to be told what they can do within the confines of that system. They don't want true freedom to be able to succeed or fail in life. At least we will know very quickly what the Democrats plans are with them having full control. Stay strong patriots and those that truly believe in freedom.

You are right, freedom is a relatively new idea to the human species

Is not this simpler? Is this not your natural state? It’s the unspoken truth of humanity that you crave subjugation. The bright lure of freedom diminishes your life’s joy in a mad scramble for power. For identity. You were made to be ruled. In the end, you will always kneel.

It is true. Most people long more for security than freedom.

The United States was an aberration, which is why it was unquestionably the Greatest Nation on Earth at one time.

The Founders didn't account for massive third world immigration and large numbers of soyboys raised by feminist single-mothers.

Sure, to a point. We are stronger as a group than not. Any sizable group needs some sort of governance or else the group weakens.

True. It’s too much pressure for some to take control of their lives. It’s easier to be told what to do. That’s why marketing work.

This is true. Sadly, they also want what you have.

Even more true is that we want what we don't have. Therefore when we have security we want freedom, and when we have freedom we want security. Therefore the cycle of revolution.

Women’s suffrage seemed like a good idea at the time, but it doesn’t seem beneficial to a free country to have voters who make decisions solely on feelings.

I wouldn’t exactly strip away the 19th amendment but I’m all for making women jump through some hoops to be able to vote.

A monarchy is a better form of government than what we have in the U.S. right now.

The problem is that we can't put the genie back in the bottle. Congress can't be counted on to put checks on themselves, the executive branch tries to do nothing now but executive orders, and the judicial branch is hands off unless they absolutely have to say something. How do you change something that has become so festered and rotten?

Why we didn't drag every one of them out when they passed this last spending bill where most of the money went away from the US, I'll never understand it. We are past the point of civil discourse in my eyes.

But what we have right now is not governance, but a political aristocracy deciding what they think is best for us. We also have too many takers in this country which we allow to set the rules. This isn't just a FedGov issue, it is also on the state level.

The right wing is this country is currently disappointed Trump is not Augusto Pinochet, but no, it's actually the democrats who wish to be ruled by tyrants.

That's because they had ineffectual fathers and were raised by their mothers. It's the same thing on a grander scale.

Unfortunately your use of past tense may be correct. So now the Chinese are going to go for it.

Couple this with a generation 30 and younger that has never really known actual American freedom we knew prior to 9-11 and the Patriot Act, and you've got a large portion of people not just willing to give up their freedoms for the perception of safety, but eager to do it.

Sadly, I think people who truly want to be free and understand liberty are in a dwindling minority. You can see it in the exasperation of a maskless woman desperately explaining to the drones around her demanding she put on a mask, "I'm not the crazy one here!"

The average person has been dirt poor and ruled over by some sort of dictator/autocrat for the vast majority of human history.
