Let us not forget that the Deputy in question made $100+ last year. That money was paid by taxpayers for him to protect these kids.

Dude needs to pay restitution for his salary, gear, and all the free coffee, donuts, and whatever else he accepted while being a uniformed fraud.

Many here claim leftists hate Cops, but the things said about these 4 Officers here are sad( even suggesting violence against them).

I'm guessing he wasn't close enough to hear the screams. You dont want to live after hearing that shite, let alone go home to your family after doing nothing.

frick you.

They were incompetent and contributed to the deaths of 17 people, but probably not as much as that idiotic promise program. That was a fricking brilliant idea.

Leftists, who hate cops, will take the side of cops if a Republican gets sideways with them.

The scenario I outlined fits that bill.

No it doesn't. Resisting arrest is resisting arrest. It doesn't call for lethal force in and of itself. Not sure how that's difficult to grasp.

Yes, his job is to risk his life to protect citizens. That’s what WE pay him to do. It’s not optional

unfortunately it isn't. Cops have no duty to protect at all. And "we" don't pay them, the state pays them. So when you are sitting around wondering to whom the cops are truly loyal, remember that.

Then they need to stop claiming that’s their job. If they want to pretend to be heroes then they should act like it.

If this Sheriff was a conservative the liberal press and all the prog filth out there and on this board would be wanting his and his officers heads on pikes for what they did (failed to do) in this incident instead of defending their actions (inaction's) that cost people their lives...

I work in IT, so... no.

That said, I've known soldiers and cops who have done very brave things.

Firemen run into burning buildings to save lives. They don't just sit there and wait to see if the building collapses first.

You seem like a real smart guy, so let me ask you this: do cops come to your house to get their checks signed?

The answer is no. You don't pay them, they don't owe you shite. They could give two fricks if their paycheck was expropriated from you through taxation (theft), in fact, almost all of them are active participants in relieving you of that money to begin with. They don't get paid by you, they don't work for you, they have no reason to provide any particular service to you.

Signed,

Einstein

Yeah, I totally agree. The truth is that we need to scrap the concept of public policing and move to more market oriented solutions.

When police arrived, he told them he thought the gunman was outside - a belief backed up by "radio transmissions [which] indicated that there was a gunshot victim in the area of the football field," Mr Peterson said, according to his lawyer.

Interesting development now that Peterson has started to speak out.

Sheriff Israel is incompetent in my view and it is not beyond the realm of reality that Peterson serves as an easy scapegoat. Suspending Peterson has been just about the only quick decision Isreal has made to this point and he basically answers everything else with liberal bs or says it needs to be investigated.
