Find a good local regional bank

I am a fan of credit unions.

the nearest credit union or ally bank online if you don't think you will ever need bank services such as a notary or bank statements to apply for a mortgage.

Virtue signaling isn't exclusive to the left.

This nonsense wouldn't even be a problem is BoA wasn't forced to swallow Merrill in 2009.

I know but some banks have crappy online portals to get an actual 'statement' lenders need to apply for a mortgage- and it is just easier to go to the actual bank and say, I need 3 months of banks statements and the dude puts a notary type stamp on the documents for a mortgage lender. BOOM done.

If you boycott a company, but don’t put up a “look at me!” post online, did it really happen?
Posted on 4/11/18 at 10:34 am to texag7
You should go with a good honest bank like Wells Fargo. They won’t screw you over.

He posted it in here because his actions are being driven for political reasons. I don't really think it's attention-seeking. Just sounds like he's putting money where his mouth is.
If you're going to use the free market to express distaste for a company's policies, what's wrong with letting people know about it?

Always start your search here: Bauer Star Ratings
Excellent unbiased source of financial institutions. In Houston you should have plenty of 5-star choices. Here's one I found in just a few seconds: Houston Metro FCU
Looks like anyone who lives in the Houston metro area is eligible to join.

I was once told the GOLD credit line is NFCU. When I was with them we were told we had superb credit just because we had a NFCU credit card and acct and had been living in Cuba-so we were non existing on credit reports.
