Last night vs Dec 12

I fail to see the overwhelming significance of last nights Prog-filth victory juxtaposed to the previous 4 special elections and the Dec 12 Alabama election.
The election on Dec 12 is far more important to the Trump administration and the country than any race that occurred last night.
I don't concern myself with how states choose to govern themselves, its only when those states start pouring into the federal circle that grab my attention.
So what am I missing?

That keeping their head above water is now considered a major victory to the DNC.

Virginia just elected a penis in women's cloth. Their opinion is invalid

They are desperate for a win and will trumpet democrat victories in democrat states. That is a measure of their desperation. I can't recall it being like that in the past.
I recall being nervous when Childers(D) won in Mississippi in the spring of 2008, but last night is a joke if the left thinks there's some sort of message.
