Louis reelected 101/90. JBE and the Democrat party of Louisiana can rest easy. The GOP will remain silent.

Are you claiming a Rispone funded alternative would be a better choice? Because he did so well in 2019.
For all I care Eddie needs to go away into the still night. He is so terrified of being irrelevant.

I don't know who would have been better. I am claiming that the GOP of Louisiana has had no backbone and now will continue to be ineffective by continuing total inaction.
This was just an informing thread for anyone that might want to know the outcome.

Rispone won the GOP nomination, but the GOP did not support him because he was not establishment.
They turned on him like they did Trump.
Look what happened in both situations.
The GOP only has its self to blame for Hiden as prez and JBE as Gov., but people want to blame Rispone.

GOP_Tiger, Sentrius, and IB Screamin will probably be happy with this development.

Are you delusional? Half of the GOP voters turned on Rispone because he violated the 11th commandment, brought to our attention by the late, great Ronald Reagan…..”thou shall not attack another Republican “. I cringed when his out of state consultants convinced him to do that b/c it set up the result that ensued.
Plus, Eddie’s answer for everything was, “Trump!” Don’t know what the question is, but the answer was always Trump vs how he would be different from JBE.

It’s interesting that in a state with just over 3 million registered voters as of late 2020, there are 800,000+ Other Parties.
Not Democrats. Others.
Democrats numbered only 1.2 million. Republicans are just over a million.
With all the talk of left/right and hyperpartisanship, the hyperbole coming from both sides…whether it’s Karen Casino Peterson or Gurvich or the GOP…elections are still won with Independents and Others in Louisiana.
Gurvich’s talk of supporting Closed Primaries is an oblivious, dumb plank and shows an ignorance of history. Open primaries are what allowed conservatives and Republicans especially to assert themselves politically in Louisiana. Looking at party affiliation amongst registered voters, Closed Primaries would be potentially disastrous. Voters are lazy and want freedom of choice in terms of politics. Don’t believe me? Go look at what the statewide office holders get in terms of vote totals. They are getting Others and Democrats in droves. Why dry up the spigot? For what? To improve your totals? That’s vanity. Not reality.
That’s rearranging deckchairs on the Titanic. You’re getting the milk for free. Why open yourself up to the headache of buying the cow? Leave primaries open and continue to enjoy what it’s done for you over the past few decades.
What both parties should realize is that in Louisiana, where elections are still won is not within the ranks of their own party members. It’s where the foundation is laid. But it isn’t where the job is done.

Until everyday people stand up and get involved and become Precinct Committeemen, this won't change.
There are empty SEATS everywhere in your state.
You don't like it, then step up and fill the seats. It's EASY to do!

You mean 2019 when the late New Orleans vote dump gave JBE the narrow victory?
Never seen that before or since.

You’re 100 % right. People are lazy and dont care until it directly effects them.

1- Rispone did not win “the GOP nomination”. There is no nomination process for Governor in Louisiana. There is no closed primary. He was the GOP candidate who survived to take on the incumbent Edwards, and unfortunately he lost.
2- Rispone’s campaign ran a shitty ground/GOTV effort, and his platform was basically “I like Trump”.

Louis is a nice guy, a peace time consigliere. We are at war with the Presidential administration, the governor, and the executive branch. Louis is not a fighter.

Was it Mike Bayham who ran as the “Rispone funded alternative”?

The GOP doesn't blame itself, they congratulate theirselves on a job well done.

I know nothing about this poster's national political preferences, as I don't pay attention much to the national stuff on this board.
However, wasn't he one of the first, and likely the most vocal, poster in 2014/2015 trying to warn everyone not to fall the for the "conservative Democrat" line that was being promoted about John Bel Edwards??

LAGOP leadership is literally a collection of retards.
Never has a group that has been gifted so many opportunities pissed them away so completely.

Sentrius has an alter and he talks to himself in these threads. It’s not hard to go figure out who they are.
