Listening to Tim Pool on the way to work this morning with the comparisons:

Kyle Rittenhouse is on video, acting in obvious self-defense. He was arrested, charged, had his name dragged through the mud, and kept in jail for almost 3 months.

The D.C. girls steal a car, murder its owner in the process, the owner gets blamed by the D.C. mayor, and the girls get a plea deal to avoid any jail time.

What an F’d up country we currently have.

He's the victim of a dirty prosecutor.

See, Kyle is white, and used an evil, sinister-looking, fully automatic assault military danger-danger rifle. Or something like that.

These girls were obviously very considerate of the life of their oppressor, and only used a stun gun when attempting to lay their rightful claim to the car. Plus, these poor girls are the victim of white oppression. The driver was very close to white, or at least had lighter skin than the girls, after all, and was oppressing the girls by not immediately giving up his vehicle.

Look, according to liberals, black "humans" don't even have human agency capacity, and cannot possibly be held to account for their actions. You can't possibly charge these girls with anything. In fact, they're probably fully within their new rights to sue the deceased oppressor's estate for causing them to wreck their new car.

Black privilege.

That poor driver was minding his own business and just trying to earn a little extra money.

It’s really tough to not see racial undertones in all of this, no matter what anyone says.

Make Kyle black and the mob conservatives and Hollywood would have already made a movie about him.

We have a culture problem.

It's clearly becoming three separate laws; one for politicians, one for black offenders and one for everyone else.

Yep and the girls acted reprehensibly while Kyle was performing more acts of community service in a 24 hour span than those two girls combined have ever performed in their entire lives

Yes, IF the reported/speculated terms of the plea deal are accurate.

Yes,they definitely stole a care. Yes, they WERE charged with "felony murder." (Someone died during the carjacking felony, even if the death was accidental.) Yes, the mayor said some really stupid things.

If the speculated terms of the plea deal are accurate, their punishment is not TECHNICALLY "jail time." They are being treated as juvenile offenders, so they do not go to "jail." They will still be held in a form of juvenile "custody" (the term is "Juvenile Detention Center"). Applicable law in DC makes it very difficult to prosecute minors as adults ... unlike Wisconsin.

The problematic element is that the LENGTH of that confinement is VERY limited.

Perhaps you should take a peek outside of your MSM controlled matrix and determine for yourself.

Mostly. The DC mayor made some statements around the crime that are staggeringly stupid.

Here’s a tweet from her (now deleted):

quote:

Auto theft is a crime of opportunity. Follow these steps to reduce the risk of your vehicle becoming a target. Remember the motto, #ProtectYourAuto,

Furthermore, the DC police chief said charging the teens as adults “wouldn’t bring back the lost loved one.”

The things we allow the left to say is mind boggling.

you could argue that they didn't intend to murder the dude, but they were obviously completely callous to the aftermath.

yes the dc mayor said the victim should have just let them steal the car.

yes they got a minimum deal that says they can't be in a prison (didn't define house arrest or juvie) and have to be released by the time they're 21
