Historian and documentary filmmaker Ken Burns said that the present day is one of the worst times in American history.
Burns made the remark while on the “SmartLess” podcast, hosted by Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, and Sean Hayes, comparing current events with the Civil War, the Depression, and World War II.
“It’s really serious. There are three great crises before this: the Civil War, the Depression, and World War II. This is equal to it,” he said on Monday’s episode when asked about the direction the United States was headed.

The only way to save this country is to take it back by force. There will never be another fair and honest election again

Um...
Civil War - Nearly a millon killed
Depression - Mass poverty, fortunes, property and livelihoods lost on a massive scale
World War 2 - Close to 80 million killed
Stick to making documentaries, Ken. You're clearly - otherwise - a buffoon.

If you need something you can make 20 hour documentary to, why not manufacture it?

He’s really gone off the rails over the past several years.
He seems to be suffering from mental health issues.

Of course it’s worse than the Civil War. At least both competing Sides in that war believed in Constitutional Principle and Freedom. They fought over whether said Freedom should be extended to non-citizen slaves. Since the Constitution codified that Rights came from God and that “all people are created equal”. The end of Slavery was inevitable the day the signed the Constitution.

Blood will have to spill and we will have to separate from the Marxists who have ruined our once mighty Republic. I have given up all hope for a peaceful way back to the America we so quickly lost.

The Dems are playing the same "how to take and defeat a country without firing a shot" that China is doing. We are fighting a civil war on multiple fronts. Both China and the Dems are ruthless. I respect how far they have got with our worthless republican law makers that sit back and do nothing. Heck they are probably in on it too $$$.

The Senate had just adjourned on May 22, 1856, when Representative Preston Brooks entered its chamber carrying a cane. The pro-slavery southerner walked over to Senator Charles Sumner, whacked him in the head with the cane and then proceeded to beat the anti-slavery northerner unconscious. Afterward, Brooks walked out of the chamber without anyone stopping him.

I'm actually shocked the woke crowd hasn't cancelled his Civil War one, given the relatively level-handed approach to it all and the focus on Shelby Foote.

That documentary doesn’t get made today.
Ken Burns himself wouldn’t make that documentary today.
