The young people in this country are so lost. They get fed so many lies and they believe them. If they want to get mad about something, get mad about the people lying to you.

Libertarian ideology sounds good until you get down in the weeds.
When politically pushed most libertarians fall on the progressive side of the political spectrum. Most of the libertarians I know are former democrats who still believe in America’s sovereignty.

I knew several progressive millennials that believed Trump was going to overturn gay marriage. I would ask these people where did they get this crap?
To be fair, during the campaign he indicated he would consider a nominee who would support overturning the 2015 same sex marriage ruling.
He’s publicly abandoned that sentiment days after his election but 4 years ago he honestly did give them a reason for concern.
To feel that way now after a full 1st term is just pure misinformation and conjecture.

Most libertarians I know are conservative folks who are frustrated by the GOP’s support for puritan blue laws (weed, tobacco, drinking, gambling, prostitution, etc), domestic spying (the patriot act), the war on drugs, neocon foreign policy, and crony capitalism.

Tell these assholes that POPTUS does no pass laws.
It's useless trying to reason with "libertarians". They also argue that open borders does not result in any illegal immigration and would not burden tax payers with higher costs to cover their healthcare, education, nor does it take away American's jobs.
The bottom line has always been this: Libertarians are just fine with Democrats in power.

I’m opposed to all alphabet people Lifestyles on moral issues
That said it’s their sin and they have to deal with its consequences
It isn’t my job to force them to not live in sin
So in the end what I’m trying to say is everyone has to meet their maker and account for their own actions
I’m not responsible for anyone’s but my own and everyone else is responsible for theirs

Which laws did he pass ? I am not aware of one. Much like the allegation of him being “racist”, there are little to no real facts to support it.

As a hard-shell libertarian I believe the State has no business promoting a new definition of marriage: marriage has throughout all human history and cultures been nearly universally recognized as a union between a man and a woman. The few exceptions prove the rule.
Putting aside the fact the U.S. Constitution says nothing about regulating marriage, I am as a rule opposed to national directives on local moral norms. With that said, all citizens who are cognizant adults should have the right to enter into a social/legal contract with whomever they please.
As to the larger issue at hand, God love Trump but the past four years have proven beyond a reasonable doubt that a vote for the UniParty® charade is a vote for the left or right wing of the Deep State. Now I certainly don’t dismiss out of hand that there are real and legitimate reasons to participate in this charade.
Yet Trumpism is at best kicking the can down the road for a future reckoning. The Deep State can no more be “reformed” than a malignant cancer.
The current crisis continues until the Deep State is destroyed root and branch. It is what it is.

When it comes to marriage, the government should have zero role in it. Marriage should confer no advantages nor disadvantages in the eyes of the law. Thus, the law should have no say in whom can or cannot get married.
If they were a real libertarian, this would be their viewpoint on gay marriage. Well done, kingbob.

You do realize this 21 year old is stupid don't you ?
It's so easy to look things up , he's just a retard.

With that said, I was talking to a very conservative 21 year old the other day about politics and was surprised to hear he is voting Libertarian. Why? He stated it is because Trump is trying to end gay marriage and even though he isn’t gay, he believes it should be legal.
Democrats are going to eliminate the filibuster, vote in two states of their choosing to gain an extra 4 seat Senate majority, then pack the SCOTUS with 4 socialist judges after canceling SCOTUS nominee hearings to disallow the public to even know how radical their appointees are. They will then vote in single-payer medicine on a party-line vote. With a packed SCOTUS they will try to force through a wealth tax targeting retirement savings. The uncertainty will crash stockmarkets and crush businesses.
But by damn, we'll have gay marriage.

Open borders with a welfare state is a recipe for collapse.
Exactly.
As a matter of national sovereignty, we can't have a cradle-to-grave Welfare State and have open borders. And as a matter of national security, we likewise can’t wage perpetual war across the globe and have open borders.
That both wings of the Deep State are to varying degrees totally committed to the continuation of the Warfare/Welfare State and our print-on-demand monetary system that funds both is the crux of the current crisis. Nothing changes until we return to a sound monetary policy.

I don’t seek to impose my views or opinions on anyone. Yet that should be a two-way-street.
As long as I am not trespassing upon the rights of others, all I ask is to be left the f#ck alone. Anyone who doesn’t like that can go f#ck themselves.

No one has passed any such laws, and Trump was actually pro-gay marriage when he was elected. Who is telling them this nonsense?
