Got the notice yesterday. 30 day shutdown in the kansas City Metro starting Tuesday.. Even though we are set up ok, wife and kids are going stir crazy from closing of school 2 weeks ago. Not looking forward to this at all. Fear of the unknown I guess. We have food, cash, ammo, etc set up, but still, damn i'm concerned. Have never seen this in my 58 years, so new territory for me. Lots of rumors out there, some true, some you just shake your head at (But still deep down inside you hope doesnt come true). Oh well, here we go. WIll check back in Tuesday to tell you how this plays out. Stay safe out there friends...

Why? We’ve all seen the stats from NYC, SF, and NOLA here but I haven’t heard about the WuFlu impact on KC. I’m curious what the tipping point was for the government to issue a lockdown there.

Why KC Metro?

What is the party affiliation of the decision makers? Just curious.

Remember that both Kansas and Missouri are MAGA country and you are surrounded by like minded Patriots and ruled over by our beloved God Emperor Trump

Wife and I get out about every other day and just take a drive around the countryside for about thirty or forty minutes and on the other days, weather permitting, we go to a local elementary school and do a little walking around the parking lots. No need to stay inside 24/7. It might not be the family's cup of tea but it's better than total hibernation plus the fresh air is good for all of us.

Not many cases here for concern now. Makes me wonder what they know but aren’t telling us. I’m not a conspiracy theorist type, but this doesn’t make sense based on the facts given so far. Sorry it won’t let me upload the link.

Fits the VERY obvious pattern of who is shutting down what.

I also can't figure out why Sedgwick county has so few cases, or they did last I looked anyway

Yeah we live in Leawood and are about to go crazy. My 7 yr old is driving us crazy. We are going to probably go for a ride today. I've got to get some shotgun shells. We are good on everything else.
