Ok. I am confused on him. I keep reading conflicting stories on him. Is he a moderate or a complete conservative? I read he was the one that ruled for Obamacare. I wanted Barrett for what its worth

He is a Constitutionalist.

He wrote an opinion that Obamacare could be passed as a tax.

I'm concerned too. Because:
1. Elena Kagan was dean of the Harvard School of Law and she hired him as a professor there. She must have seen something in his background that she liked. And we all know what her leanings are.
2. He has a Jesuit background. They are the 'social justice' activists of the Catholic church.
3. He's an establishment name, well known in Washington circles. It would have been such a breath of fresh air (and perhaps a fresh perspective) to pick a non-Ivy, outside the Beltway person.
Yes, he's more conservative than anybody BHO or hillbilly would have picked, but that's not saying much. I will take a wait-and-see stance on this one.
