I couldn't believe it when I started meeting people in Europe saying that they wanted to come and backpack through the Delta.
Backpacking through the most poverty stricken and non picturesque region of the country doesn't sound entertaining.

Real Artists aren't exactly ones to pigeonhole themselves.
I heard Larry King say years ago, "Talent pleases itself".

I'm not sure what surprises me more about this. Timberlake rebranding himself as white, or rebranding himself as male.

Justin Timberlake rebranding as a "White Man"
In other words sucking up and kissing arse to black culture isn't selling for him anymore so he needs to find something else to larp at.

Or maybe he just enjoys making different forms of music. The guy is supremely talent. The melt about this is hilarious though.

There’s nothing wrong with a white artist expressing black influences in his music; still, the ease with which Timberlake can pivot to and away from blackness certainly raises some questions. Pop music is about reinvention, but only white artists are allowed the freedom to leap between racialized identities, depending on the whims of the market
The fact that someone can think of this drivel and then get paid to put it "on paper" is a sign that progress is not always good.
The contrived aggrievement is idiotic. This "author" and the progs that manufacture terms like white guilt are completely insane.
