I almost forgot to vote today but was riding by and saw the school lot had some cars in it.

Walked right in and voted "no" on every EBR school tax. You sons of bitches can kiss my butthole.

Yall need to get out and do your civic duty... Just say NO!

I tried to vote no on the one tax on my ballot but it wasn’t for my district. I thought it was a conspiracy for a few seconds

If we keep doing what we've always done well keep getting what we've always gotten.

We need to wake up the establishment and vote no.

I would vote no on all 3 renewals because they didn’t provide any plan for what they’d do with the money, i.e. no new schools for the St. George area.

I would vote yes on the millage for BRPD.

Let's see...

In the 1970's they said. "we need more money to make things better", given more things got worse.

In the 1980's they said, "we really need more money to make things better, hire better, upgrade facilities, etc.". Given more money things got worse.

In the 1990's they said, "we need more money to hire better, improve facilities, implement new standardized programs". Given more, things got worse.

In the decade 2000-2010 they said, "we need more to hire better, improve equipment, improve facilities, to leave no child behind". Things got worse.

Is it just me or is there a trend here? Every time they blame the parenting too. Perhaps if bad parents are a constant, the changeable variable is the money?

Almost makes you wonder why Louisiana is in the bottom 3 in education.

But what about the ridiculously oversimplified "I want better things therefore all new taxes are justified and spending wast and corruption ar lent even a consideration" opinion?

Feelings matter too dude.

I think you mean something along the lines of: "waste and corruption are not even a consideration"? English education fail (I know, I know, posting from phone blah blah )

So the solution to government waste and corruption would then be...MORE Government! Again, not less money to mean less corruption and less waste to get away with? No no no! More Government meaning more taxation. And the downward spiral actually intensifies.
