As police and sheriff's departments across the county trample on the rights of citizens how often will we hear that as a defense?

Haven't we heard that before?

Well, i have backed the blue all my life. I am a conservative, I tend to give people the benefit of doubt. Between what I have seen with the FBI and people being arrested for working out in a gym, not so much anymore.

I added to my thread from yesterday, but the cops were arresting and issuing citations at that NJ gym today.

They just weren't going to do shite while the national media was there live.

Imagine being the person stopping cars going from one State to the next and saying, your essential papers please.

Some States didn't even accept those so, your papers please.

This is happening in few place, majority major cities or cities ran by democrats.

It will probably pick up more in democrat states as they are only now telling city and state police to enforce their rules. There should be no reason a county/parish sheriff should entertain this at all, they are the ultimate law enforcement official in their county and do not report to anyone. There are dem sheriffs though, so obv it isnt 100%

Is there a source? Not questioning it, just like to read for my self.

If they really did that, that's bull shite. Worst than just out right arresting people.

A New Jersey gym reopened again Tuesday in defiance of the state’s orders against workout facilities reopening during the coronavirus outbreak and again police arrived to issue tickets to the owners. At least one patron was also arrested leaving the gym after refusing to give his name.

Police also warned supporters gathered outside to leave or they could also face summonses.

“This gathering is a violation of the governor’s order,” Bellmawr Lt. Mike Draham said. “You are directed to immediately and peaceably disperse. If you do not disperse you can be charged. You can protest from your vehicle…That’s all we have right now.”

The crowd jeered police officers as Draham read a statement to Atilis Gym gym owners Ian Smith and Frank Trumbetti in front of gym door shortly after 10 a.m. They were handed tickets that could lead to fines of up to $1,000.

I'm amazed it's taken this long for folks to realize what a sham this is.

What's going to be the attitude when we're asked to raise our taxes to give them a raise?

As a Leo I’m disgusted by what I see but I also know not to judge a situation based on a vide from Facebook.

Just following orders

Not a valid excuse for those in the military. Soldiers and their leaders have a moral and legal obligation to disobey unlawful orders.
