This is pure mental illness being celebrated. Our culture celebrates this disease. Sadly this young girl will live the rest of her life confused, depressed, and lost. She will never find what she’s looking for by saying she’s a guy.

It seems a larger and larger number of homosexuals and bisexuals, including some very prominent ones, are attempting to distance themselves from the transgender movement. And I think I’m that’s smart on their part, as they’ve largely been accepted into mainstream American society. The transgender movement is going to see much more sustained and prolonged widespread resistance, because the distinction between subjective and unfalsifiable claims of sexual attraction and objectively false delusional beliefs about oneself is a very apparent difference to most thinking people. Far fewer people will be willing to go along with what is clearly a psychiatric illness. Keeping their wagons hitched together is going to have a negative social impact on homosexuals I fear.

Homosexuality and gender dysphoria are really not comparable, psychologically speaking. Gender dysphoria is, at best, a delusional disorder. Even in its most functional state it is a fixed, intractable belief for which objective evidence to the contrary exists. At worst, it is a manifestation of a cluster of psychiatric and personality disorders that culminating in disordered thoughts and actions. Homosexuality is just sexual attraction to those of the same sex.
