You do realize that Hamas is a designated terrorist organization and all of these protests would therefore fall into the criteria of reasonably suspect that they support a terrorist organization.
Once again, it doesn’t have to be material support.
I do realize that.
So protesting Israeli action in Gaza and vocally supporting the Palestinians is "reasonable" suspicion that Hamas is also being supported?
Well if you're sure. Oky doky then.

Why do you hate free speech now?

I consider the Constitution of the United States to be quite a worthy hill.
You seemed to have skipped over the part that proves you wrong. That was provided a few entries ago.
You seem to have made it in your mind's eye that this is personal.
Look again. Trump never picked out some person by name, race, etc.
He was singled out by actions.
You don't get the attention of the POTUS and his "minions" by going to school, studying and getting drunk.
Nice hill to die on ... and you have.

You answer is obvious to those with an IQ over room temp. numbers.
You are lucky we have free speech or we would send your arse packing with him.
You love the bastard? Live with him and his whore wife.

Well not to put too fine of a point on it, but Columbia is a private University that fully supports this guy's protestations. Also, can you post a link to any "anti-American" speech he may have engaged in?
There's no doubt in my mind that you're absolutely, positively correct. I would just like to read some of his Anti-American filth myself but I can't find it anywhere.
I'm trying to get my righteous indignation rolling with all this shite, but it's been tough.

Didn’t the President of the university have him arrested and removed from campus?

I don't know. If so, I'd like to know more about that because the guy was arrested out of Columbia student housing.
This is a fascinating thing going on here and based on everything I've read so far, it looks to me like a pretty thin deportation case. I know the threshold is somewhat low to deport somebody, but based on what I've read, an immigration judge typically wants some pretty good reasons and so far, no one can point them out.

I think the US should keep all Hispanics and deport all Muslims.
We already have all the evidence we need from Europe where the muslims intend on going.

The guy was arrested by ICE. They had a warrant signed by a judge which details the evidence of his support for a terrorist organization. The evidence has not been made public and will not be made public in the near future because people who have committed similar offenses have yet to be rounded up.

Are you sure? Because everything I've read says ICE hasn't given his defense team any sort of list outlining his wrong doings. You're probably right and they're not obligated to do so. Could you post your source? I'd like to read more.
Additionally, where is the confirmation ICE had a warrant? Columbia (who's housing he lives in) can't confirm if ICE had a warrant or not. ICE may not even need a warrant.

From the reporting I’m seeing today I don’t think this is the case. It looks like Rubio is basically trying to PNG the student. The admin is not claiming that he broke any laws. They aren’t relying on any “material support” evidence.

Apparently this guy is being held in Jena at the ICE center they have there right now.

I don't mean to hi-jack the thread, but I did not see this quote in the ABC News article that is linked in the OP...typical one sided reporting...if a Trump appointed judge would have ruled against a democrat case the first line would have been "Judge Joe Bleaux, appointed by Donald Trump, just ruled against..."
Disgusting.

2. Protesting in support of the “Palestinian people“ is not automatically the same as supporting Hamas. If feeling bad for Palestinian orphans is grounds for deportation, again we will be looking at millions of people.
For the 7923rd time (in this thread alone) where is any evidence whatsoever that this guy supported HAMAS.
Trump picked a loudmouth Israel-hater, and he is deporting the guy to earn additional swoons and adoration from his villagers.
