Joy Reid calls church, family, police, military & national anthem tropes of a bygone era

Church ... family ... police ... military ... the national anthem ... Trump trying to call on all the tropes of 1950s-era nationalism. The goal of this speech appears to be to force the normalization of Trump on the terms of the bygone era his supporters are nostalgic for. #SOTU

These liberal “elites” are so out of touch with the average American that it is entertaining at this point.

We’re not fascist. We’re not bots. We’re not uneducated. We’re not fascists...heck I was born in Mexico. We’re not pawns in your game that you can conveniently label. Our opinions matter. Your disdain for us is exactly why your bias doesn’t allow you to hear the other side.

She seems to think Obama's fundamental change of America was completed. He certainly tried his best, but he didn't finish the job. That was Hillary's role and she didn't get a chance.

Well the 50s were one of the greatest times in America so I guess a commie would hate going back to prosperity

If I were a cruel, unfeeling person, I might entertain the hilarious notion of Ms. Reid at the mercy of criminals in this country and desperately calling 911 to get some of those tropes on the way to rescue her.

...or her living under the whims of tribal leadership in a place not protected by the umbrella of the U.S. military.

"Family"? "Church"? Hey, lady, you mean the absolute foundations of Western Civilization?

frick you, aight?

Don't encourage him. It's better to ignore him because he's going to turn it into race something or another. It's all he's got.
