The fact that you spend any portion of time in your day thinking about Jordan Peterson "fanboys" is far sadder than being a Peterson fanboy.

Why does it matter what he uses the money for? Seems to me the people contributing to him do it because they get some kind of value from him.

So when are the Peterson fanboys going to admit they’ve been conned?

I want Patreon to be destroyed. He can take the $20 he made from me buying his book doing that. I don't care.

This dude did one stunt at the University of Toronto... fast forward to a mediocre interview circuit and then people all of a sudden thought he was a high brow intellectual. Many on this board worshiped him but stopped posting hardcore about him all of a sudden.

He has not offered a single thought that some neckbeard didn't already say before him.

True story: He was just a prof at a college in Toronto who opposed some new rule and claimed he was gonna get censored or whatever, he then got famous over it, and has made a shite ton of money on it. He never actually lost his job at the university. Snake oil salesman 101 right here.

ETA: Here come the mouth breathing/fedora wearing downvoters

I love Jordan's message and the unapologetic way for which he dispenses it. I do not care what he uses the money from his newfound fame for.

I got and still get a lot of value out of his book and lectures. To each his own. He's certainly not a "snake oil salesman", but he did a good job riding the wave he found himself on. Still is from all accounts.

Are you suggesting that there is something problematic with this?
