She plans on voting several dozen times for Great Grandpa Joe. Also, only 3 days of funerals ahead.

RIP.

Any JDs know the mailbox rule for mail in ballots?

Should a vote count if they are dead before election day but was able to mail it prior to dying?

serious question

Why was this thread necessary and how is her passing political in any way?

There is no universal rule. States can do what they want regarding elections up to the point that electors are chosen by the state legislature.

I thought it sort of interesting in the 'wow, that's crazy!' sort of way and the only way it's noteworthy is due to the political connection.

Are you really pissed that someone would post this? Why?

yes it counts. Once a vote is cast it is cast. If you go into the polling location on election morning and vote and then get killed in the parking lot when leaving your vote still counts

Did I say I was pissed? No. I asked a question because this is not a political topic.

She was the mother of a Senator and former Presidential candidate. John had a long life in politics after serving his country in the military. Like him or hate him, which is most of us, he is still a political figure and his mother passing at 108 deserves a thread.

And damn, that’s a helluva run, 108. God Bless and hope she is with her Lord and Savior

I'm just glad John didn't make it around to bomb her house. I've always said, if there was only one structure left to bomb in the whole world and it was John's own house - he would be all for bombing it.

See was married to a true American hero, and gave birth to a Frat Boy who partied like it was 1999. Thumbs up for being a great Navy Wife.

Looks like the odds are somewhere in the neighborhood of 1 in 50,000 for women and 1 in 100,000 for men.

I would have guessed 1 in a million.
