John McCain is a great American despite his flaws

I commend him for stepping out of the partisan hell-hole that Congress has become and voting his conscience. He is one of a handful of conservatives that I respect because the rest of them only care about "winning".

This is the problem. You treat your ideology like a religion. What about whats best for the country? There is more to life than winning against your perceived enemies. Especially when those enemies are your countrymen.

He is not voting for ObamaCare. He is voting for a bi-partisan solution and way forward. This crappy bill was nothing more than an attempt to undermine the bipartisan momentum that had started to take shape. The Republicans don't get their "win" if they work with the Democrats and make a solution that actually works.

You know this how? They were negotiating in good faith. This bill's only purpose was a hail mary to stop a bipartisan solution from taking place. Watch.
