kind of seems like Bolton was playing the Bad Cop role. if trump didn't want Bolton to say anything he could have told Bolton to shut up or leave the table. He didnt.

Bomb em Bolton is a reprehensible person. From the minute Trump brought him on, it was inevitable that he was going to get his military conflict one way or another. Be it North Korea or now Venezuela. Dude gets his rocks off to military intervention

Bolton is a shitty terrible human being, but I don’t think anything he did sabotaged anything.
Mostly because it was a kabuki theater in the first place.

Sounds like the Newsweak team moved directly from establishing Nick Sandmann's guilt, to coverage of Bolton in the Korean Negotiations.
Kim was not prepared to give up substantially in the Nuke arena. Trump did something the Koreans have never seen. He said "are you willing to give up your Nukes as we discussed?" Kim said "no, but here is what we want from America." Trump said "well, thanks . . . Let's not waste any more time then," got up, and left.
Kim was humiliated. He got nothing.
Newsweak can "blame" that on whomever they choose. But the blame lies with Kim. Period!
I'm no fan of Bolton at all, but let's get real.
Trump knows damn good and well who Bolton is.

Bolton recognizes and challenges fake 'compromise' bs when He hears it; Un is running a con against the US that He believes He can win (always has). No way Un gives up all His nukes for a Free Market Economy. That degree of freedom would end up with His own people trying Him for 'crimes against Humanity'.
Same with Iran. No way they abandon nuclear parity/power, as such an abandonment would be a profound act of acknowledgement of Islamic cowardice, subjugation and Religious loss of respect toward a power that they (Islamist) believe to be the embodiment of Satan.
Trump should ramp up sanctions to the max on both. Hopes that Un or the Mullahs will do anything other than pursue their nuclear power is wishful hoping. (Still hoping that some sort of guaranteed deal with Un could be engineered, as sickening as such would be. Still better than mass death of collateral victims).
