During the election the Left told everyone the economy was going to tank if Trump was elected. Then when it takes off immediately after his election they try to take credit.

This press conference disproves Biden's view of reality. Charts included in the briefing.
CEA's Kevin Hassett discusses the economy

Technically, every President "inherits" the economy from the previous one. Didn't 0bama say that a slow economy was the new norm?

He's got to be dizzy from all that spinning. "Alternative facts"? Seriously? He's the one who is lying right now.
Remember earlier this year when things seemed to be cooling off and suddenly the left was excited to say this is Trump's economy? Where are those people now? That's right, they slithered back into their holes to think of more lies to tell.

This is not a surprise; Democrats have no shame.

The problem is that no one is challenging him on it and the challenge isn't that hard. It's one word: "inversions". Remember how during the 2nd term of "the Obama-Biden administration" companies were inverting so much that Obama pushed legislation to specifically halt it?
Let's be fair. Obama walked into an economy on the precipice of a drop thanks to the housing bubble. The problem is that Obama did practically the opposite of what was needed to be done to fix the economy. He allowed taxes to go back up while also cutting domestic oil production and exploration and threw money at bullshite industries (see: Solyndra).
Trump did indeed walk into an improving economy but due to all those things I just listed (and more) it was improving in only fits and starts, it was improving not because of "Obama-Biden" policies but despite them.

Who would be able to challenge him. If another one of the Dems steps up and says something, then they will have to admit that Trump turned this economy around and it's continuing to grow. That would destroy them if they survived the primary.
The republicans want him to continue to run with this because it will make for an easy debate.

$7 trillion in QE. Nearly a trillion dollars a year pumped into the economy to save Obama’s incompetence. Throw in historically low interest rates that they held in place until just prior to Trump taking office; and you have unprecedented governmental assistance to fix the economy. Yet that idiot had us down to 1.6% growth by the time he left office
MSM got their panties in a twirl when Trump rightly told the Fed to stop raising rates. You can’t pull $30 billion a month to unwind QE and add .25% per quarter to the interest rates. I know that’s where they would like to get and over the long haul that is the right call. But propping up Obama for 8 years carried a cost. You can’t suck that much liquidity out of the economy that fast and not destroy growth
Yet even with all of that, the MSM goes along with the hoax that Obama paid the groundwork for today’s economy
Pitiful
