Jame Baker's classified House testimony leaked to Epoch Times, updated pg. 2, T. Tweet.

TL/DR
1. He recommended charges against Crooked and Comey rebuffed him.
2. Top brass at the DOJ and FBI avoided the internal information vetting process called the Woods Procedure to get Crooked's opposition research ("salacious and unverified") into the FISA application.
1. Recommends charges against Crooked only to get rebuffed by Comey.
2. The information laundering scheme between the Hillary campaign and FBI/DOJ officials is exposed. This gives Hillary plausible deniability. So not only did Hillary pay Perkins Coie to pay for the dossier she paid Perkins Coie lawyer Michael Sussman to spread fake news.
Normally this information is vetted by FBI brass.
3. David Corn of Mother Jones feeds Baker more salacious parts of the dossier instead of going though normal channels to have that information vetted.
All the info above should normally be vetted thought the FBI chain of command called the Woods Procedure. Hillary's opposition research was being fed to the top of the FBI and DOJ to avoid the Woods Procedure.
4. Baker admits that the information that went into the FISA warrant application avoided the Woods Procedure.
So Baker looks at the FISA application and the DOJ and FBI fail to pull the unvetted information from the FISA application. He KNEW the information in the FISA application was unverified...the information in the FISA was not vetted though Woods Procedure.
Looks to me that James Baker revealed that there was deliberate action by top DOJ and FBI officials to avoid the Woods Procedure so the FSIA warrant could be approved by the FISC.

quote:
Baker served as the FBI’s general counsel when the bureau investigated the Trump campaign and Hillary Clinton’s use of an unauthorized private email server. During two days of testimony on Oct. 3 and Oct. 18, he told lawmakers that he believed even toward the end of the Clinton investigation that she should have been charged over her “alarming, appalling” mishandling of classified information.
He argued with others, including then-FBI Director James Comey, about the issue all the way toward the end of the investigation, but was ultimately persuaded that Clinton should be exonerated.
“My original belief … after having conducted the investigation and towards the end of it, then sitting down and reading a binder of her materials, I thought that it was alarming, appalling, whatever words I said, and argued with others about why they thought she shouldn’t be charged,” Baker told lawmakers.
As of October 2018, nearly two years after the Clinton probe concluded, Baker still believed that the conduct of the former secretary of state and her associates was “appalling” with regard to the handling of classified information.
Normally this information is vetted by FBI brass.
quote:
Baker testified that it was Michael Sussmann, a partner at Perkins Coie, who shared with him information that detailed alleged communications between servers in Trump Tower and servers located in Russia at Alfa Bank, which were eventually debunked. Sussmann was also the lawyer who spearheaded the handling of the alleged hack of the DNC servers. Baker admitted that it was highly unusual to interact with an outside counsel.
3. David Corn of Mother Jones feeds Baker more salacious parts of the dossier instead of going though normal channels to have that information vetted.
quote:
During lawmaker questioning of Baker’s interactions with Mother Jones reporter David Corn, it was revealed that Baker was the subject of an ongoing criminal leak investigation by the DOJ. Baker admitted to having received parts of the Steele dossier from Corn. Baker testified that these sections were different than the ones already in the FBI’s possession.
All the info above should normally be vetted thought the FBI chain of command called the Woods Procedure. Hillary's opposition research was being fed to the top of the FBI and DOJ to avoid the Woods Procedure.
4. Baker admits that the information that went into the FISA warrant application avoided the Woods Procedure.
quote:
Baker told investigators that he personally reviewed portions of the Page FISA application, adding that this was not something he would usually get involved in. He also admitted that he did not review the Woods file, which provides underlying documentation for the accuracy of facts represented in the FISA application.
So Baker looks at the FISA application and the DOJ and FBI fail to pull the unvetted information from the FISA application. He KNEW the information in the FISA application was unverified...the information in the FISA was not vetted though Woods Procedure.

I feel the same way.
I hope we are wrong.
The folks at the top of the DOJ and FBI were getting fed Hillary opposition research and they used Hillary's opposition research as a basis for the FISA application which was eventually approved by the FISC.

Probably James Baker
Isnt he currently under investigation for leaking info?

That is my understanding.
I think Baker is trying to get to the exit as quick as possible by ratting out the others first. The first to rat usually gets the smallest or no sentence.

I was walking by his house the other day and he was working out. His bench press sounded a bit rickety.

Why Epoch Times? I mean Kudos to them for putting in work and getting the scoop, but this just makes it easy to dismiss.
If I’m the leaker, this has to go to a friendly with NYT, WAPO, or CBS, etc. And there are a few.

Somewhere, in some far away unknown cornfield; James Comey has no fricks to give.

Because they usually stick to the facts, which is critical in these types of articles

Jeff Carlson has been doing epic work (pun intended) the past 18 months on this issue. I believe this is the 4th exclusive by the Epoch Times.

And it would get squashed by the editorial board. Many in the MSM are implicated in the information laundering scheme.

This idea reminds me of Steve Bannon's use of the NYT to seed the "Clinton Cash" story into the prestige press which was a lot more effective than getting it out to a Falun Gong associated website that apparently love the Diamond and Silk movie.

So how do you feel about top FBI and DOJ brass avoiding the Woods Procure to ensure the FISA application gets approved by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC)?

5th! (Baker, Papadop, Page, McCabe, Ohr).
Hmmm... what's the pattern with those HPSCI leaks?
Posted on 1/21/19 at 1:12 pm to GumboPot
I would feel that it's inappropriate if true. Would be helpful if these transcripts were actually seen by a variety of press outlets to verify them instead of getting them to an outlet that's been just about the friendliest to the Trump administration (hyping "spygate", etc.), right?
