They gave starting police officers a 20 percent raise today in an effort to recruit more.

Interesting how the whole BLM defund the police thing and lets the burn the city down only seems to take hold in cities that are lily white while Deep South majority black cities like Jackson and Memphis are quiet

They don't have the funds to fix potholes, was starting salary previously $10k?

Jackson is trying. There are still plenty of corrupt people in high places but there are a few people who actually care about the city too.
If someone could infiltrate and fix JPS’ corruption then we’d really get somewhere

I wouldn't be a policeman in Jackson for 300,000 a year.

These are the reasons why there are no protests in these cities - same for NOLA and BRLA - no one is going to cause trouble in a place where they’re going to get shot

I'm pretty surprised Mayor Cheekwon Mutoboo actually did this.

Told my wife this yesterday, Memphis dont give a frick if you protest for black lives matter or any other bullshite. They will kill you too, then take your shite. People know this, that's why they do this shite in Milwaukee and Kenosha. If the police want to shoot black guys in Memphis they have to get in line behind the other black guys in Memphis. In conclusion Memphis is a shithole.

Same for Baton Rouge and New Orleans
And apparently Jackson as well
I thought it might be because it’s hot as hell down here, too, but I think it’s just because it’s scary
(Scary to protesting little liberal idiots)
